GTA4 isn't all that fun. Now it has the same high production value Rockstar Games usually delivers. But it still isn't particularly fun. GTA5 is though.

And if GTA triggers your SJW persona you need to up your chill pill dosage.

There are some vids on several porn sites that turn porn into a guitar hero like game. I can't post a link on this forum, but just do a search for guitar hero and replace guitar with a synonym for rooster/penis.

I find it to be much better than GTA 5 (story wise). It's a more mature game than 5 which is your standard Rockstar parody of American society.

Driving feels very slippery and the cars drift and slide a lot in GTA 4 but you can do some amazing stunts once you get used to it. In GTA 5 it feels like you're driving a log, the physics are toned down a lot.

Also keep in mind that GTA 4 runs worse than 5 (the latest GTA is far better optimized).

tbh, they're just not very fun games, and the parody/satire is so heavy-handed and obvious that it's not very funny. I feel like playing the single-player campaign just feels more like busy work gameplay than anything.

They're most fun if you can just mess around in multiplayer with people you know and do weird and funny stuff.

If you are after the open world romping around with weapons, driving and flying rather than the GTA stories, I would suggest the Just Cause and Saints Row series. Gets old pretty quick, but the itch to play it again always comes back. Other than the newest Just Cause, I expect they are all less performance heavy than GTA IV too.

Currently playing Medieval TW 2 with the Stainless Steel + Historical Improvement mod as Norman Sicily. Pretty cool. Always surprised at just how bad the battle AI is in total war games though, I'm on Very Hard/Very Hard difficulty with all sorts of AI "improvement" mods but never lost more than 200-300 men while exterminating much larger forces than mine. They just do so many mind numbingly stupid things in battle, and as an old obsessed MTW 1 competetive multiplayer battler I just can't bring myself to intentionally play badly.

I picked up GTA IV for $20 about a month ago, I've been enjoying it. I've lost interest in the campaign but it's fun to fire it up, and get into insane shootouts and car chases with the cops for an hour or so.

Still on Human Revolution. Since I've let the Director's Cut linger in my backlog for years, I'm now playing The Missing Link for the first time. It's really great, bordering on excellent. Just the backtracking through stealth sections annoys me. New patrols have suddenly appeared in an area where I have hidden unconscious guards. I think I might fail to get the stealth achievement unless I replay two hours and either don't knock anyone out or find better hiding spots.

I was just wondering if anyone here had taken the plunge on the new game. I can't really afford it right now, and I'm not totally convinced my machine can handle it as well as I'd like. Maybe I should fire up Human Revolution again. It's been a while since I played it.
