What videogames have you been playing? version 1.22: What's with that plural?

I don't think I've ever 100%ed a game. Even the ones I have hundreds (or even thousands) of hours in - either getting some of the achievements involve playing in ways I don't enjoy, or I mod the games to hell and that turns off achievements....
I usually am the same. I think before the pandemic, I had but a couple non-challenging 100%s, things like telltale's narrative games, or Monkey Island remaster. Witcher 3 and Dragon Age inquisition were really the first two in which I got very close without trying, so I decided to go all the way.

After that, during the pandemic, I decided to 100% ME2, because I only had difficulty achievements left, and was pretty sure I could finish nightmare runs. One game meant confidence about the next, and soon I had the entire ME OT, Witcher 2, a couple others less known.

Now I take a look. If I find no achievement that looks that will be bad for my enjoyment, I give it a go, but it is pretty relaxed. For example, I am 3 achievements short of 100% for Guardians of the Galaxy, but these 3 are kinda grindy, so I moved on for greener pastures.

The one game that is kinda irritating is tyranny. In my second PT, I had to use console commands to fix a bug (a key would not spawn), and it disabled achievements. I had a NG+ over that save and the achievement lock carried as well. I should have, like, 78% unlocked, and I'm sitting idle at 25%...

Ahah but I chose men in my RPGs!

By the power of Grayskull that is luminous!

Nice to looks semi-clean for a moment. Shot inspired by yours earlier.
Spoiler Brief respite :

Why does it always have to be rats?
Spoiler Seek soap :

The rats are the hardest thing in the game!

Looking good there.

The entire point of OpenTTD is to build a computer using it.

And the ultimate goal is to play Transport Tycoon Deluxes using OpenTTD computer.
Well, to be somewhat realistic, that would be impossible in OTTD due to lack of anything to build a screen display with :) (unlike in games like Minecraft).
The only thing in OTTD which could in theory work as a screen, is what is already used to build logic gates (signal posts for track). Due to the game (afaik) not allowing you to build signal posts without track, nor to have signal posts themselves as memory bits without track, I can't imagine how to build a screen (but maybe some custom mod solves this? maybe invisible track, combined with some visual trick for the signal posts that by default are too small and cluttered to help as a display)

Aaaarrgghh! 96/100 Hidden Packages! I missed some! (obsessive completion disorder kicks in)

How can you go back to gta3 at all? Your commitment to the aughts is unrivaled.

Yeah, I find GTA 3 painful to replay nowadays. Vice City is right on the threshold. Thankfully, San Andreas still holds up.

I was so excited for the remaster. :(

I just can't connect with GTA for some reason. I played the original just a little but didnt like it. Only tried the series again in GTA 4, and never finished it - and I always get tired at around the same place in the playthrough (30% of the campaign).

I got GTA5 for free and did see it through, but only once, and didn't really engage with it; just the main story and no more.

Guess I'm not cut out to play as a villain. Just one ME playthrough as renegade, out of several...

Sleeping Dogs may be more up your alley, though it has still aspects of villainy in it. It's GTA style but in Hong Kong and with far less emphasis on satire and more emphasis on morality. It does have some elements of ridiculousness (car chases, in particular), but nothing egregious or out of place given the culture.

I was too :(

I played vice city finally a few years ago. It was cool to see how they transitioned to modern GTA plot/aesthetic but it was rough. I had only played it as a kid at a friends at got 6 stars and survived like 6 minutes before I got bored.

But San Andreas rules!

I never finished 5, it was pretty nice but I was too late to care. 4 had some great gun battles and the graphics were a huuuge upgrade.

But San Andreas is the only one in 2023 I would recommend, and really mostly the first half.

I’m thinking of playing the Saints Row the Third remaster, SR3 is the second best GTA after San Andreas ;) it’s like gta but way sillier and over the top, but done right spoofing the genre yet still fun.

Were it not for my recent discovery of a cable channel called ‘MTV 00s’ which actually plays music videos all day (as MTV used to do back in the '90s rather than '00s) I would call that a completely unfounded accusation of the basest order of infamy and challenge you to a duel. Of course, this new MTV channel has some utter garbage like the Ketchup girls…

It's not commitment to the aughts themselves but to a trio of specific games that were made back then. At some point the Windows XP partition will finally die and thus I'd rather achieve the damned games' 100% completion.

Saints Row 2 is the alternative 3 is decent.

Couldn't complete San Andrea's.

SR4 is even more silly (and parodies a slew of other games too).

I like them both! But SR2 doesn't go far enough and SR4 is extra. I think The Third is the sweet spot, the real Goldilocks of the trio.

Nearly all the best interrupts are Renegade ones, though. :(

My usual ME playstyle is Paragon when it comes to the big decisions, Renegade when it comes to dialog and interrupts....

The best of both worlds. :)
