Funnily enough, I eat a lot more meat, but I prefer seafood. That's the trouble with cooking for the whole family - you have to cater to their preferences as well as your own. We've only recently found a really good supplier, though, so hopefully I can badger them into getting more. I mean, we eat meat once or twice a day; chicken, ham, pork, beef, bacon, lamb - can we not have sea bass or scallops or lobster or crab or mackerel once a fortnight? :(

Meat. Lobster and Crab are just big bugs. And I hate bugs.

Meat on the other hand is awesome. There is no better culinary feeling than ripping flesh with yourown teeth. Better than sugar by far. Mmmmmm flank steak......

Nah it doesn't give me a bloody steak tastes WAY better then lobster plus its easier to eat.

Bah, you've never had good meat then...
Or you've never had really good seafood! Good meat is wonderful, good seafood is wonderful. It'd be sad to only eat one - but even worse to only eat low-quality both!

Seeing the topic has been revised so has my answer.

Meat - red and bleeding

I will only eat fish if it is raw or cooked in the Chinese way (steamed with lemongrass and soy sauce). Western fish recipies make me gag.

Ive had good seafood, but i still prefer the meat....Its always been like that for me..

There is no comparison. Steak all the way.

i'll go for both, Hard to choose if I have to decide for one of them.

In general, meat is easier to cook, at least the average skill recepies. That's why I don't eat too much seafood, good quality seafood is difficult to find in some places, and it tends to be expensive. (I am so glad so many people don't like seafood, besides lobster and prawns, that prevents the prices from skyrocketing :D ).

so, if I go out for dinner, usually I ask for seafood, nothing beats a good angler fish in clamp sauce. (no lemmongrass or soy sauce tenjewberrymuds). Although a steak from a young cow is also delicious, no sauce needed to spoil its taste in this case.

Seafood for me, but I'm to far inland and to remote of an area to get it very fresh. I'm limited to froozen seafood but freshwater items like freshwater shrimp, catfish, panfish and mussels I can easily. Meat (Beef, Pork, Lamb/Mutton, Chicken) I can get fresh all day long.

off topic in the off topics...and this is my light double posting...BUT i just had to comment on your new avatar C~G...I have that picture and thought about using it as my avatar!!

Neither meat nor seafood now....BUT I used to LOVE FISH over red meat any day...

~disappears again into the mists...(promise! am trying to stay away from here)

seafood, squid namely, and prawn/crab/etc.. but most if not all seafood i eat. i don't eat much of a variety of red meant: sausages, rashers, stew, mince(burgers, chili, bolognese, etc) and the odd steak. i eat more poultry than red meat. yummm, duck..

Seafood is meat, unless you're talking about sea vegetables.

If I were to eat meat again I would choose seafood, probably crab.
