Just you!

True, its a very useful phrase to stop anyone in their tracks.

Matt is guilty of killing his own NES for example (as am I!)

Regardless.. we don't have any "newbie" NES running at the moment which is rare.

I've been developing my own NES intermittently for a half year! It's just that the rules are quite extensive (Just ask Daft, he's seen the latest version), and making a non-earth map from scratch takes awhile.

Revive yur old 1!

lies!

well, it takes a while in terms of hours, maybe stretched over to a week, but not hours stretched over half a year

i don't know why you people insist on having absolute 100% control over the geographic details of the worlds you create for minimal effect

Well, I haven't dedicated a whole half year to the map obviously, and I've already scrapped two mostly finished maps.:(

Overextensive rules could easily torpedo your project. Be careful; SymNES only lasted 2 turns.

The current rules I have are far from SymNES(2), which really only, and still does, serve as an overlying basic structure to everything esle I have, which is an N3S III, AFSNES fusion. I still need to do the industrial/modern rules, which only add a few things anyways. I'll post it all in the Ideas and Dev thread once I mostly finish.:)

I've made two so far and both were extremely time consuming to do. Each took many hours of "time on task" that had to be worked into an already full schedule. Half a year sounds pretty reasonable to me.

You just have to have a focused time budget to keep stuff manageable first, and then work the ruleset to that time plan, mine took less than a week to knock out, and has had an update every 4-5 days or so ;).

Well, as I've said many many times, the hardest part about modding a NES are the tedious, boring tasks. Stats, combat resolution, stats, map drawing, stats, stats and stats.

If someone manages to take away that tedious job by handing it to a computer, mods can focus more on writing seven-post long updates - which is what everyone cares about more anyway.

Keep the fun bits of modding, without having to do all the rubbish.

In the past year or so, I seem to have developed asthma and allergies. Is this possible or have I mis-self-diagnosed? Any cures/simple treatments without chemicals etc?

harden up?

What have you become allergic to?
