Regarding the number of posts in one thread, is it actually a technical issue for the server? Or is it an ease-of-management thing?

Also, another rude interuption (Noobie question):

Does civ4 Beyond the Sword include the Warlords expansion also? If not, what happens if you only get BTS? What would I be missing exactly? Im still confused about this

Im seeing 'civ4 complete' for sale online, quite cheap (about £19, I guess $40 or so) but still a few pounds more than BTS on its own. I already have civ4 original so I dont want to waste money. Thankyou for your advice

Well, BTS has all features of Warlords except the senerios. The WarLord Senerios are all bloody (IMHO) but you won't be missing out. However, If you want the senerios or un-compermised Trebucets then Warlords will be perfect(albert less of an improvement on Vanilla) For Warlords and those who don't mess with new Techs.

It's just a management thing, there's no hard limit to thread size. And I don't think it's a HUGE problem, since some modding threads can also get to hundred-plus page sizes.

I've had the same question on Warlords/BTS myself, actually. But I have to buy Civ4 all over again, because my hard drive was wiped, and I only have the play disc, not the install one. >_<

By the way Daft, how's the update coming? I have the Ghostbusters theme song stuck in my head whenever I think of your NES, which is...weird. Who you gonna call? DAFTPANZER!

I don't have Warlords installed on my current computer, and none of the scenarios were particularly amazing in it anyway. I say just go for BtS.

Das, to what degree do you feel that Russia is becoming authoritarian? Are your or your family or friends pressured to support Putin? Do you agree with Putin? What do you think of the political situation in Russia?

I suppose others can comment as well, but I'm really interested in what Das as a Russian has to say...

From what we know about das, I don't think he's sufficiently subversive to attract attention for commenting on the political situation in Russia, which is still nominally a democracy at least. I'm also interested to hear what he has to say.

To the best of my knowledge, which isn't very good at all, there have only been a few incidents here and there, nothing particularly major, though the usual suspects still whined.

To a very healthy and highly approvable degree. Why?

Nah. Only pressured to actually go and vote for someone, but that's all I could recall, and even that wasn't very serious pressure.

On what, exactly? I do agree with his general political line, at least. Most of the domestic parts, anyway. I do know for certain that I can't really agree with any of his opponents.

Nothing much, it's still stabilising.

The only thing I seem to dislike about Putin is that he seems like another frontman for the oil oligarchs. Oh, and he is dangerously paranoid when it comes to the West on a few issues. Plus his Rambo streak when it comes to hostage situations and some terrorist trouble spots.

For a Russian, he is not too authoritarian and not too bad for a former KGB agent I can certainly see the appeal he has for people actually living there and since I do not really know what the opposition is, I can't judge.
