Right.........so Sean Bean is killed as a renegade agent in Goldeneye, only to become Bond afterwards? :crazyeye:
Yeah, because Bond has always been about the realism.

I agree. Why can't they go back to making quality Bonds like Thunderball?

I just thought of another candidate, Matthew Macfadyen. He's about the play Mr Darcy in a new Pride & Prejudice and he plays a MI5 spy in Spooks.

Colin Firth played Mr. Darcy, can you see him as James Bond?

I know. How about Richard Simmons? He is Bond to the core!

I have only seen one Bond film, and I don't think it is all that great. I'm surprised so many of you like James Bond.

I think Pierce is just saying he is quitting hoping to get a huge contract offer to continue to do it.

Well, you can hardly judge them all on the basis of one!

Especially if it was Diamonds are Forever.

But how is it possible to see only one Bond film? Do you live under some kind of rock? Incredible!

I'm surprised at the comments about the badness of Bond films recently - I think they've been pretty good (especially Tomorrow Never Dies) and Brosnan has been an excellent Bond.
