Why all the hate?

Ive seen people just blantly running around the last few days, wanting to post something against the mods whenever they do something that the poster doesnt like. All i can say is lighten up fellows. Its just a forum. No need for all the hostility. I also wanted to say to the mods that even though some people are acting the fool, most of us appriate all of your hard work.

Some posters cannot reconcile that Thunderfall has different expectations and standards for this site than they do, nor can they stomach that his decisions, and the moderators', prevail over theirs. You find that most of it comes from the extreme polls (substantially more from one hand than the other). Some few are just so immature or weak that they have to uselessly carp about things

It's a cyclical thing. Volume increases, posters butt heads, it escalates, a series of bans goes out. Traffic dies down a little. After the bans, posters either return and make more trouble (and get banned again and again) or, having gotten it out of their system, settle into a comfortable idealogical niche. Or they don't return. After awhile, some posters leave OT for other diversions. And new posters replace them.

Even some of those amongst the Top 25 posters have left CFC (after making their mark,) and their names are slowly sliding down the list until they are on page 2 oblivion...

So it is. So it always has been.

They just haven't read the forum rules I guess.

I expect all members to read the forum rules. If they don't and got banned for doing things clearly prohibited by the forum rules, they'll get little sympathy from me.
