It used to be kind of a fad in the 70s and there was one university that said it had a streaking epidemics. We don't really hear about it much anymore. Have people just become more mature or it just got to be kind of stale?

Thread in one basically. The potential to be blacklisted for a vast majority of occupations later in life kind of makes it a non-starter for most people.

And why can't I get a replacement crate for my pet rock anywhere nowadays?

Big event security is now super serious, especially after 9/11 and 7/7. So doing something illegal, like trespassing during a sporting event, is probably going to get you banned and thrown in jail. You'll also probably be added to the sex offender list for running around naked in public. So your life would probably be ruined, unless you're a hobo.

In the 70s it was all fun and games, but these days you could maybe run onto the pitch for a soccer game in Europe and be ok. But get naked and run around on the pitch during game in North America and they'll probably taze you and ruin your life. So it's not worth it no mo

Still happens, all the time, but with cell phones nobody notices them anymore.

Yeah, definitely cell phones. Back then they didn't have cameras.
And now, the average person is fatter and less likely to want to show it around.

People have their noses in the things and get run over all the time, so will they see the streakers?

Let's just say, I'm thrilled there isn't a pictorial history of my youth on permanent record.

When's the last time there's been a streaker even? I've seen people run onto the pitch here and there, but they're always clothed. I haven't seen a streaker ever except once I think - wasn't there a naked guy running around court-side during the last Australian Open or something? Other than that one incident, which I can't remember very well, I can't remember anyone streaking anywhere, in the last couple decades.

It happens, but it doesn't get enough attention to be really noticed. The media doesn't bother with it at all in the name of not encouraging it. And unless there is something really remarkable about the streaking person anyone who shoots cell phone footage in hopes of "going viral" will be sorely disappointed. It might make it onto the radar of a few friends, but beyond that will be met with "So what? Have you seen the three legged cat playing the harmonica? Have you heard what Dingbat Donny says many people are saying about the yeti in Central Park and how he intends to give it a cabinet post?" An ordinary person running around naked just doesn't measure up.

Back in the stone ages I streaked a few times. Every time I did it, it was because a group of women were doing it and asked a couple guys to go along to protect them. While I was always happy to oblige them, I doubt I would have done so if everyone was walking around with a cell phone/camera to immortalize the moment.

"Streak on, Body Suit Man" ... George Steinbrenner

Can you imagine Fat Bastard running naked down the street? You can? Oh I'm so sorry...

Streaking is common at UVA, but I don't think it's common at many colleges in the US. Did it used to be a common thing at colleges?

Some of the Survivor cast run around naked. CBS blurs out what violates their decency standards, though. If you want uncensored, apply for the show and get accepted.
