The West is not declining, rather Asia is catching up.

I think humans are obsessed with the decline of their societies. It doesn't matter what the condition of their society actually is.

the Asia on the rise so America should leave Middleeast to friendly powers is the very root cause of the bloodbath that has transpired , because as it turns out it was never carried out in the first place .

    Spoiler :

yesterday ı was out to pay some bills and two people ı had never seen before said variants of "Hi" to me , while presumably "Left" oriented people looked unhappy . It's actually in the air and you can feel the vibe . That supposedly America is really unhappy with the A-K-P , and quite uncharacteristically there is some palpable fear or whatever . People have seen those make believe crises there is this bombastic and fantastic bravado but no one has ever heard of some journo writing that this country will fight America and those not in the mood should leave the country ... Only because IRS is the most terrible thing in the world and America has grabbed some people ready to snitch . The sanctions against Iran , supposedly busted by Ankara and Iranian court documents claim up to 8.9 billion US dollars were paid in Turkey as bribes . The same Iranian courts gave the death penalty to Ahmedinejad's henchman and they swing people in Iran with construction machinery and yet the guy has a reprieve , he can still save his life if he pays a billion . Never minding Ahmedinejad , the humble Shia , having no compunction in gold smuggling with the most Sunni Emirates and stuff . Because the god in America is the dollar and they can keep the system working only if Washington is utterly followed and yet the Kurdish debacle has thrown a freakin' spanner into the grand designs and all those years of fine Middle East balance by the Pasific-centric Obama has gone into the trash can , many people believe Washington is out to hurt the A-K-P . So , some MP is on the record that the whole nation will die manly and this causes issues for the Joe Public . The life has been good , the sense of pride high in the nation that votes for the Party , the talk of war intoxicating because it would never happen . With nobody daring to challenge the mighty world conquering New Turkey . Well , Joe Public also knows the former Energy Minister who cried on TV in tears and snot and whathever that he so badly wanted to be a martyr whenever some conscript or NCO was being buried after killed by the seperatists , has not opted to deploy his glorious self and his 50 bodyguards to Southeast to actually seek Martyrdom . Some sense of relief that r16 will finally draw the lightsaber out , you know , to defend the Party ? America will do nothing , because A-K-P is the end result of like 50 , 60 years of America's best efforts to kill the Turkish Republic and as always if A-K-P wants a war , let's admit it's best only those who have voted for the Party to fight for the Party . If this sounds silly , it's nothing on par with one of the last speeches by one of those former Ministers a couple of years back , now wanted by the US , that the New Turkey could do a starship if left free of obstructions and the image they use in the newspaper is [naturally] the always cool 1701 ... Yeah , stupid Americans , you might think you have the beginnings of the Warp Theory but in New Turkey it's just around the corner , if the accusations are made to go away ... Not that it could , but they leave no stone unturned if their big daddy , Uncle Sam looks like angry .

so , instead of actually pushing New Turkey to any real test , the West comes up with one pampering after another . This time the chief of the goverment generals is in Canada and the picture they have in some meeting is of the guy on the day after the Disgrace of July 15 with a patch of red on his throat as Congregation people tried to throttle him with a belt to make him come forward and order the Army of Petrol to coup . A year ago that was the guy's badge of honour , today the entire media says it's an insult . Oh my , oh my ... The stories that he would be the coup leader if something untoward happened to the PM never gained much traction because of that red patch , proved he wasn't with the Congregation . Today it's a slight that should unite the whole nation and the whole bunch of retards and stuff behind him and New Turkey . Just like it was a female major , formerly at least tried in Congregation courts , to discover the picture of Atatürk and her father tells the newspapers she never mentioned it , you know , because it's some tiny thing that anyone would attribute to be a mistake . No war with the US on this court case thing , because America won't and we have much better reasons anyhow . And real , to boot . And not just because the MP who calls on the nation to die manly , will no doubt will be the first to surrender to the Americans . You know , even in the unlikely case that Turkey was winning . Oh my , ı hear even my silly joke of Kemal rising from the grave to command an ary of zombies has been debated to the possibility of happening .

edit : auotocensor seems to have deleted a word used to point out to the mentally challenged who were the laughing stock of the country with a pointless attachment to the Republic of 1923 , before the threat of America actually became real . Not in creating a Kurdish nation state all that jazz but issuing warrants for politicians or seizure of funds .

I wonder if all those bible-belt americans supporting Israel vehemently, have even read that the new testament rather focuses on the end of times happening after an israeli triumph & the rebuilding of the temple of Solomon

There is no need to buy the false dichotomy on offer there. The governments of Britain and France in the 1930s understood perfectly well that they were not ready to go to war; Britain in particular had a skeleton crew for an army at that point. What many people don't seem to know is that those governments were increasing their military budgets during every year of 'appeasement,' because "peace in our time" was never anything more than a propaganda line.

As to the OP: I don't think I've seen something so overtly fascistic for quite some time. I picked 'other', though 'no decline' was a close second, because it's clear that the West is declining in an objective sense relative to the rest of the world, and has been since world war II for obvious reasons. However I also believe that things are getting worse in Western countries in absolute terms, and the main reason for that is drastically increasing economic inequality brought on by the limitless greed of the moneyed classes. The US, for example, is no longer a democracy in any real sense of that word, it is transparently an oligarchy run for the benefit of the oligarchs, and I'm afraid things will need to get a whole lot worse before they get better.

How can you decline a social construct? Europe, technically, doesn't exist as a continent of its own. We're actually all Asians.

I was just teasing him a little bit ;) The Korea expansion was just announced
& I'm busy in the actual civ 6 forum, discussing screenshots & stuff. So, if I
come around back here & see trolls, I troll them ;) That's the only thing trolls
    are good for.

and how is it that a prime agency of the West is not worthy of discussion in an act that regularly takes place ? That West declining and the vacuum will be filled by the worthy ? A Greek naturally expects trouble and wants to know what's the prediction of a Turk ? Because it happens , and even my jaw drops that the Greeks declare Lausanne is not up for discussion ...

There's no decline "per se". Some conventions of what is considered to be normal are under review, but the technological advancement continues, areas that need to be developed are being developed and everything is being thoroughly documented. If it seems that there's a decline through some visuals that people are getting then those parts being examined are simply not as important as they have been. As sad as this whole thing really is.

Not up to discussion if it means canceling more parts of it, like Turkey did with the 1955 pogroms which ended the greek presence of Constantinople, protected by Lausannes. As you know, the statement refers primarily to Erdogan's antics with his claim that the specifically declared by the treaty of Lausannes 'non-turkish' minority of muslims in greek Thrace, is that, so he can stop his neo-ottomanism.
It doesn't mean that a Sevres 2 would be declined :mischief:

Fair point. Interesting enough, China is an Oligarchy & still does much better than India.

Honestly? You have never read comments about how Isis is "defending" itself against imperialist-capitalists?
How 9/11 was a great thing? How Erdogan complains about the "racism" of western countries? I read quite
a lot of racist & facist comments & good portion of them are by people who call themselves "antiracist"

blaiming America really works as in they wanted to develop an "Islamic" identity and attacking defenceless always helps such notions . Perpetrators getting away scot free so that they can one day think of going and killing socialists and all sort of vermin like that . And the "pun" was specifically for you , not as in trolling and spamming but mighty glorious Chipras is not up to the task of re-establishing Byzantium . Makes him so unworthy of Trump , who declare Kudüs is the capital of one and Turkish newspapers claim the Saudi plan is that there will still be two states , but the Palestinian capital is a village called Ebu Dis or whatever . It's all unimportant and Trump's is no trouble , Netanyahu is no trouble , it's merely that Trump checks the calendar and sees it's almost an hundred since Allenby , hence ... We all know he won the mightiest victory of the world on the exact centennary of US entering the Great War , right ?

and of course , while the Greeks actually are typical Balkan in oppressing minorities , as in it's a wet dream of theirs that people suddenly will wake up someday and return top their roots of a thousand years ago , if they prove they can with removing Turkish identity off their minorities and stuff . Despite Bulgarians were first off the bat with 1985 and didn't we all see how that saved Communism and the Warsaw Pact ? Yeah , three types of Muslim minorities in Greece we hear , and one is ethnically Turkish . And of course , it's got nothing to do with that either . Almost racists plus the Party apparently poll only 48% now and they can't return to Sunnism so soon , despite Kudüs . Yeah , there is the spat with the Greeks and PM returns and all the news are how he is oppressed by the Americans , just like Kemal was done in 1922 . That 3% , oh my , oh my ...

^Not sure what you mean, r16, but no one would expect Tsipras to do anything much, let alone some fantasy of restoring Constantinople to Greece (something impossible, unless cataclysmic events happen, and yeah, Tsipras can hardly manage even ordinary stuff without failing). Yet i am sure you are aware that Turkey is rather a lot less democratic than Greece.
Not that this isn't a thimble-rig game by now...

only noting that instead of jumping on the bandwagon of A-K-P (of "Let's destroy the Kemalist Republic") and accepting like "Oh, let's do it!" and all that , they end up defending the status quo . Instead of being instant heroes for the more "advanced" parts of the West ... Have you heard some group in Turkey has made a Kurdish cover of Michael Jackson's "They don't care for us" , the drums and all that in the favelas of Rio Janerio and stuff ? And stuff like that on how Turks in Western Thrace ... Wait , that's not a territorial claim as we will also occupy the rest during the advance on Washington DC , now that we will need Gibraltar first and whatever ... Yeah , Turks in the area claim poor education in Greek language so that they can't go to go universities in yours . And so poor Turkish education that they can't go to good schools in mine either . Some Goverment Minister , and like never a favourite of mine , actually illegally crossed the border to attend to school in the 1980s . What's the scare , the not-a-man Turks will come and invade and use them as local bosses ? With regards to Kurds , we at least can claim the risk of a Civil War .
