A new premier has been elected by the Hsingchêng Yüan, with the previous premier Hu Chên-t'ing giving a speech at the inaugural ceremony.
Pai Hsü-jo (Minch'inkongjêndang) received 86 votes (21.7%), Haszŭmu T'iehmuêrh (Weiwuêrhdang) received 59 votes (14.9%), and Mo Tien-ch'in (Kuomintang) received 227 votes (57.3%). There were 16 votes for independent parties (4.0%) and 8 abstentions (2.0%).

We have expanded into Shan-hsi (the other one), Hopei, Liaoning, and Szŭch'uan, because we must retake China from the rebels. Also, this gives us access to the Eastern Sea, from which we can access the Pacific Ocean without interference. We hope to retake the core provinces of China, those in the valleys of the rivers, which we have started with Szŭch'uan, but it is not complete. We also have nearly surrounded T'ienchin and Peiching.

Also, we will hold our presidential elections next year.

I've realized that this game seems to be getting boring for both the players and the GM, so I have decided to introduce something that will spice things up a bit (and totally not TaniciusFox's idea for making IOT more interesting)

I have decided to implement events, the first ones coming up next update.

Using a random number generator, a number from -10 to +10 will be selected, depending on its severity (with negative numbers meaning a bad event happen, and positive numbers would be beneficial; -10 would be a massive humanitarian disaster, while +10 would be an absolutely brilliant thing to get). ). I will try and make the event match the region and situation (New Deseret would have fun with earthquakes, but New S****horpe could find massive mineral deposists within its borders) - However, in the event I can't, I'll have to use some other non-natural event (scandals, market issues, etc.). It is up to you to actually detail the event if you wish; they're mostly to make gameplay more random and interesting, but good RP'ing on the part of the players would be very nice.

The world economy is well up and running! Diplomacy is becoming much more active, although it still isn't nearly as active as it could be. More and more profit is being gained from worldwide trade, in some places more than others - And with trade come cultural influences and religion!
