We should be able to get cheap lux's and resources all game. Because we are so small it doesn't "benefit" us as much as it would a large civ. Good turns. Are we going to try for sistine?

Got it.

Sorry for the delay guys, finished with my turns but I won't be able to post up the log without falling asleep. I worked 12 hours today so I can barely keep my eyes open.

I'll write it up in the am.

Flight Check- Military report: 1 worker, 3 warriors, & 1 spear.:lol: Looking good!!
MM for production of Sistine 1 turn faster at the expense of some surplus food.
Xerxes is up Chiv, everyone else is even, except Cleo who’s down 3 techs.

Sistine is also being built in Tlocopan(size 4, forests) and Sardis(size 6 city, no obvious mining), of course our map isn’t up to take so I don’t know what recent improvements they’ve made. But I don’t think a size 4 or 6 city is gonna complete it in the next 11 turns, unless they were cascading from something & then we’re screwed anyways so I don’t bother wasting the gold to investigate.

Turn our lux back to 0%.

1- Massive amounts of Chinese troops enter our territory, hold my breath & pray their headed for Persia.
Also stop the workers from building the fortress outside of our territory & move them to build one on our horses, if there’s a tile we’re gonna have to protect other then our city, that’s going to be it.

Just to be safe I buy a RoP with Mao for 7gpt & 13gold.

2- The Swords keep going headed for Persia or Aztecs(Mao has an RoP with both, so who knows).
Stick a warrior on the mtn range near there to enjoy the show.

3- :sleep:

4- Persians start Leo’s.
Attempt to help out Cleo with her ignorance, but she still doesn’t have any gpt to deal.
Chinese appear to be going after the Aztecs.
I would buy a Rop with Xerxes to go enjoy the battle(and cause we can never be too friendly at this point), but he wants 45+ gpt for it. Keep dreaming little man.

5- Scholors snag Chivalry. Start on PP.
We lose our supply of Iron, but until Sistine is complete I don’t really feel like renewing it.
Check out what everyone wants to pay for Chivalry, but they all have at the most 30g & 0gpt.

6- Our spices deal with Xerxes expires & he holds out on us until we kick in an extra 1gpt & 13 gold.
Persian settler marches up to our front door & plants a settler, cutting our land in half.

7- :sleep:

8- In a move I saw coming for a while and after much pleading to Mao not to betray his friend, he sneak attack the Aztecs. Another sad day for the world.
I was gonna give him an RoP, just to keep things fair but he wants 25gpt for it. Sorry!

9- An Aztec city is wiped out, I just hope he replaces it before Xerxes gets there.

Apparently I missed a turn among all he :sleep:s, this is when the date matches up though. Sistine will be built next turn, you can go for Leo’s, but with Persia already starting it & 3 other civs cascading to it we’ll get beat. I’d suggest building some galleys and braving the sea while buying Iron from someone(Cleo) and upgrading our troops/building a defender or two.

Enjoy!~

Okay guys, I need some help. My CD refuses to read my CIVIII CD. I checked for smudges and scratches and there aren't any. I keep getting this blasted message!

The autorun thing comes up and everything, just when I tell it to play CIV it says there is no cd.

:confused:

Shh Elvis, don't want our SG to get locked out for promoting piracy.

The best advice I can give you is to contact firaxis or atari and return the disk, hopefully they'll send you a replacement.

I'll play today if I remember to. If I don't, Zwingli is free to take the save as I'll be away this weekend...

Security, Culture, and Rushing

550 AD (0)
Remanage the workforce for gold rather than shields (20 shields per turn will be enough for the upcoming spending spree ;) ).
560 (1)
We complete Sistene Chapel, then switch to a scout and rush it for 80g to get 10 shields in the production box and switch again to a galley which is now due in 1 turn rather than 2.
570 (2)
Moscow galley->colloseum. We learn Invention from the Great Library, and trade Egypt Chivalry for Iron + WM. The galley is sent southward to look for a good spot to launch a venture into the unknown.
580 (3)
We spend 240g to rush a courthouse, then switch back to the colloseum shaving 3 turns off its completion date.
590 (4)
WM sale yields 4g.
600 (5)
Moscow colloseum->barracks
610
620 (7)
Moscow barracks->80g scout->pikeman
We upgrade a spearman->pikeman and warrior->swordsman for 60g.
630 (8)
Moscow pikeman->80g scout->pikeman
640 (9)
Moscow pikeman->80g scout->galley
650 (10)
Moscow galley->80g scout->galley. We renew wines deal with China for WM+16g, but let a dyes deal expire as we have Sistene and no longer need it. Our southern galley ventures into uncharted waters to find the other continent.
660 (11)
Moscow galley->80g scout->galley (last one I promise :) ). We renew ROP agreement with China for 7gpt just to keep them happy as they are marching Riders through our territory. Our exploring galley survives.
670 (12)
Moscow galley->knight. We get Gunpowder from the Great Library. Suicide galley survives and enters safe waters.
680 (13)
Our galley pays off and we contact America!!! (I guess I went a bit overboard on the ship construction)
Trades
(Civ)------(They Give)---------------------(We Give)
America: WM+2g+Contact with Zulu for WM
Zulu: WM+8g for WM
Persia: WM + 4gpt for WM + 2g
Egypt: 6g for WM
Azteca: 70g for WM
Persia: 20gpt+2g for Contacts
Azteca: 149g for Contacts.
Egypt: ROP for Contacts
India: ROP for Contacts.
----------------------------------
America is still in the ancient age and is the larger of the overseas civs (possessing at least 1 former Zulu city). The Zulu are stuck in the stone age.
690 (14)
We gain Education and Chemistry from the Great Library making the wonder obsolete. Switch Moscow to courthouse and rush it for 160g, then switch to a University due next turn. I put our fleet of 4 galleys on autoexplore to make our map more valuable.
700 AD (15)
Moscow University->knight. Establish a 60g embassy with the Zulu. The treasury is still over 2000g.
SAVE

Moscow is currently set to build a knight for extra defense, but you might consider switching it to Leo's Workshop as a prebuild for Copericus (Leo's itself isn't very valuable to us since it only generates 2 culture per turn). With 3 pikemen, a swordsman, and 2 warriors to defend Moscow, we should be able to survive any surprise attack for at least a one turn before we can buy alliances. Persia could be a problem later on as they are already the strongest, richest civ owning the Pyramids and Sun Szu, and they haven't even had their golden age yet. At some point we might have to do something about them. :)

Very good turns. :goodjob:
