Wolf Blitzer vs. Michael Moore

Whoops.

And no, Bamspeedy, Michael Moore won this one. Perhaps you need to see an eye doctor.

How do you figure Pasi? Michael Moore comes off as someone more interested in his hurt feelings for being shunned rather than coming up with solutions.

if you automatically have 5 bucks withdrawn from your account to save you hardly notice it.

Ohhhh this is such a dangerous psychosis...

All the good the free-market has claimed to have done in the ways of medical profession in the United States still leaves millions without healt-care - Captain Planet

This isn't because of the free market. This is because people in America are quite lazy, don't live responsible lives, have no sense of moral obligation to society and themselves, are not financially literate, and think "nothing will ever happen to them." It's not because of the free market.

Also, American's may go to Canada for drugs, but they don't go there for treatment. Canadian's come here for treatment.

Blitzer wasn't trying to win it. I never said Blitzer won.

Moore dodges some of the direct questions and changes the topic to the Iraq War (his crutch) which had nothing to do with the subject matter, tries to attack the credibility of Sanjay Gupta, whines about not being on the show in 3 years (even though that is his own fault because he declined offers). Criticizes people for 'putting profits first', when he does the exact same thing with his movies.

CNN did a good job of trying to be fair to him, without being his lapdog.

You picked up on that as well, eh? Yes, Mr. Moore, we get that CNN didn't invite you on for three years, you can stop repeating that now.

Actually, he came across as angry about just how badly the media is doing in America. It's not like they're pandering to the demographics either, since most Americans favour universal health care and a withdrawal from Iraq. The Iraq War is related because, much like with the health care crisis, major media outlets are inclined to lie about it to the American people.

Could be just me, but Wolf did say a couple of times that they have invited him on several times in the past three years, he's just declined.

I would love universal healthcare, but talking until you're blue in the face and not letting the other person get a word in edge wise =/= winning a debate it just means you're being a jackass. Not sure why moore thinks he's entitled to CNN appearances anyway how many of us have been invited to appear on CNN?

Whoops. Sorry, and thanks for the correction. That's what I get for listening to that in the background while surfing here and at the taurus club.

Moore did a piss poor job of presenting himself as a well researched, mature reporter, coming off as an irresponsible, over-emotional idiot. Can't say that I am too surprised. He never really presented any facts, and I think near the end he even gave our social security a positive remark. WTH. Our Social Security is on a one way trip to hell.

Is there a youtube for those of us who missed it?

it just ended a couple of minutes ago, but I am sure there will be a youtube at some point. Larry King did say something at the end about a podcast available, but it might take a bit for them to get it up on their site.

The Gupta-Moore debate on Larry King will be shown again on CNN in 10 minutes.

Thanks for the heads up. I totally should've skipped Calculus for this.
