Biden was prepared for a serious debate. Biden was not prepared for a debate with Donald Trump. I can only say that this does not speak well for the Biden Administration. VP Harris is about to speak on CNN. This should be interesting.

They should've gotten Harris off the ticket. Horrible choice to begin with. Pence was a better pick politically, appeals to the sizable evangelical base. Who on the left does she appeal to?

I can't even remember off the top of my head if she was in the primary. Totally forgetable.

Edit: were always cracks in Joe's armor. Part of me wondered then and wonders now if she was picked to render him less vulnerable to internal party pressure to step aside. He nearly always appears the better bet next to her, and I think Biden's will to be president has always been much stronger than the wishy-washy commitment people seem to presume(without much to suggest this)

I'd be totally stunned if Biden steps aside.

The reaction of Reddit is purely negative on Biden. The threads are all about specific Trump lies, but the actual discussion is all about infirmity.

So neurotic. Morally offended but sure they're screwed now. There's plenty of time for Biden to make a strong showing that leaves this in the rear view mirror but the left isn't very good at fighting or competition in general. If it were a football game, the team would be crippled with self-doubt after 1 fumble at 0-0 2 minutes into the 2nd quarter.

Tbh I think we'd have had one without this crippling insecurity and neurotic self doubt.

I think Bernie resonated with more people personally and politically, showed more ability, but the party chiefs and strategic voters got spooked by the QB who didn't look the part and went with the same old known mediocre candidates.
