WW2-Global

Where can we find information on this new scenario Rocoteh? This is the first that I have heard of it. I still play Civ 3 a lot since I never bothered to get Civ 4. :)

Another World will come in 2 versions:

One played on a 362*326 Earth map and a Random map version.
Most work so far have been done on Britain, France, Germany, Japan,
Russia and Spain.
Another World is a mod on the epic Civ 3.
I have invested much more playtest time into this mod then
any other of my projects (including WW2-Global.)

More info later on this year at the StormOverCiv site.

I too look foward to this new release of yours. Let me know if you need playtesters.

Thank you.

I have just resumed playtesting with Britain after adding 20 more units.
Will probably upload Another World for general playtesting within some months.

Rocoteh

Rocoteh, great to hear something from you again :) and I´m sure, "Another World" will become a very interesting mod.

I don't have a link, but Rocoteh moved it over to a site called StormOverCiv. Look for that.

This is defenitely no reason to cry. The SOC site is the home of many famous Civ 3 scenarios and mods (for example all scenarios of El Justo like AoI and TCW and of my epic mod CCM) Additionally it is the place where a lot of the new mods and scenarios for C3C are designed before you can see and discuss them here at CFC. :)

You can find the original scenario of Rocoteh here:

Ive played Civ 3 for quite a few yrs now but only bothered to register today cuz I wanted to ask if this mod can be played with Civ 3 Complete. Thanks!!

Absolutely. Complete contains vanilla Civ, Play the World, and Conquests, so there should be no mod here that you can't play. :)

Just a quick note. I know this scenario has been moved to another site, but I am still playing it, after several years, and still loving it. What a great scenario and much thanks to Rocoteh who obviously spent much time on it. It's provided my boys and I many hours of gaming enjoyment. Thanks again.

At present the features of the SOE civilopedia entries must be adjusted to the special unit features of WW2 Global.

WW2 Global Gold

WW2 Global Gold is a graphical update of Rocoteh´s (and Meateater´s) brilliant work as it is now connected to the SOE graphics. Nothing in the unit stats was changed. Some abstract categories of naval units that were necessairy when that scenario was created, as many ships were not available as civ 3 units at that time, are now split up into the meanwhile available civ 3 units (per example the 1939 destroyer to several destroyers of different countries), but they all still have the same unit stats of the 1939 destroyer.

There were only some very small changes like the skip first turn option for all civs but Germany, so now Germany invades Poland and not the other way and Russia now is an own cultural group so it can have its own city graphics and the conflict between Germany and Russia now is a little bit bigger.

So it´s still the great scenario of Rocoteh (and that is why I dare to post the preview in this thread), but the feeling is, as if it would be a brandnew scenario.

Great news, Civinator! And cool heavy metal interface. :))) I see some flags are missing (Belgium, China, etc) - you can request them from Bathyskaff (if they're not made yet), he'll help I think.

Wow. Excellent previews. Ditto on the Metallic interface. It's details like that that make all the difference. I've always loved this scenario, but always found the turn times too long for my liking. If someone were to make a "light" version....

By the way, I noticed that Rubber in the civilopedia has the icon from the Mesoamerican scenario(i.e. Balls used for ball courts, etc.). Was that intentional?

And just how soon is "soon"?;)

Of course. This is a scenario with the balls, no doubt!
Spoiler :
OK, OK, just joking. But isn't it true? :)
