Xen-NES: Uberfest.

Indeed. :)

My only question: "send 150 spearman and 150 archers south/south-east to explore the mountain range there. Their aims are to look for a source of fresh water. Once this is found, they'll settle at the foot of the mountain the water is from." (the arrow pointing to the south in that map)

You seem like a nice folk. Want to establish a trade route?

you cant really expand in all directions at one, aprticurlaye when two new cities have just been founded ont he coast, and nee dprotecting; try rasinging your army, and then trying for larger expansion goals; more troops to play around with will mean that more troops can be put into expansion, witha healty reserve left for protecting the nation.

Thanks for increasing my economy even when i forgot to xen. and about the Illyrians, i knew nothing about them and assume the etruscans were wiped off the face of the earth by Xenicus Moderatorus.

And my naval colonizing expedition west was stopped by storms right, or have we not heard back from them?

few people know abou tthe Illyrians, or thier connections with the other peoples in europe (particurlaye as a sort of bridge between the celts and italians, despite them being at odds it seems)

the econ thing is no biggie; many people forgot to do it.

and abou tthe navy thing, what ever excuse you happent to want is the excuse I'll use. you'll double effectivness next turn in naval colonizing

The Cuman UU...

Cuman Horse Archers (not really an imaginative name ;) )

Cumans being a steppe people are excellent horsemen and archers. The horse archers avoid close combat and firing at the enemy same time. Cuman horse archers were no armour, which makes them very fast and it is very hard for heavier cavalry to catch them. The tactics that these guys use includes luring, deciving, constant out-flanking, and exhausting the enemy by getting run after the Cuman horse archers and then striking with the heavy cavalry.
Horse archers have very fast marching speed which makes them good raiders.

Get your orders in soon again; the sooner all orders are in, the sooner more updates can get along)

Irish Orders:

Raise education by opening new temples around Ireland, so that the Druids can teach the Celtic youth about our religion, our ways of life, and of course, the secular art of making that tasty non-wine alcoholic beverage. ;)

Expand into Scotland with the remaining 100 spearmen. Transport them with 10 galleys.
