welcome to cfc and good luck (i hope you lurked for a while before jumping in) :goodjob:
Thanks!
Don't worry, I've been reading these NESs for a while.

Svealand Orders:
- Send all the Galleys(with 200 Spearmen + 200 Archers) to explore the Baltic Sea's Coast. Try to contact other kingdoms and establish friendly relations with them. Offer them to start trading.
- 100 Spearmen + 100 Archers stay in Uppsala to defend the city if necessary
- 200 Spearmen + 200 Archers explore the coastline southwards. They shall try to find good places for possible settlements

Athenian UU
Triremes

The navies of ancient times were dominated by a warship called the trireme. These fierce ships were fast and furious. Motivated by three ranks of oars pulled by over 150 men they could reach speeds up to 10 knots. The top deck carried a small crew of archers and marines who did the fighting in case of close conflict.

Triremes were of various lengths but averaged about 18 feet wide and about 130 feet long. Their primary weapon was a ram at the front of the bow which was right about at the water line. The primary tactic of attack was to build up momentum by heavy rowing and then smash into an enemy vessel, hopefully avoiding the enemy's ram at the same time.
-Encylopedia Athenia

:mischief:

Saba Orders:
-Expand southwest
-Built cisterns and reservoirs of stone and ceramic to collect rainwater for drinking and irrigation
-Concentrate on developing the spice and incense trade; seek to make contact with other Arabian tribes, the fabled northern kingdoms, and any people living across the water (Axumites and Pwenet)... and then sell them spices and incense

What is the time period of this game? I may be interested in playing the Visigoths.

right now, the bronze age; the germans themselves are just not getting pushed out of scandanavia, and into central europe, so if do start as the visigoths, dont expect me to put you in spain, or eastern europe.

Are the UUs only avaible to one era, I mean if i would make a ''cuman horse archers'' as my unique unit would it be total crap in the iron ages?

I mean, The horse archers were effective weapon untill the advent of more advanced muskets.

they are one per era, and you can keep a UU through all eras, and expect them to be reasonably effeicient until its obvious that they are obsolete

OOC: Since I don't have a seacoast, I won't need 50 galleys. Can I replave them with a mod-determined number of spearmen and/or archers?

all said, do you really want to do this; I feel its my duty as a moderator to warn you;

1)thier are already two well versed, quality players in your area; in fact, thier your next door nieghbors of Rome and Carthage, which alone puts you in a position to be trampeld

2)you inbetween two players, and in close proximity; I assure you, as a veteran of many an NES, thie ris no bigger mistake then this; Athens and Sparta have already skrewed themselves expansion wise, all said, and I'd hate to see the rest of the NES get ass raped by having the same problem

for you, perhaps, but not for everyone else; as moderator of this NES, i want things to go smoothlly, essentially, i woudl like it to be an example of how I would liek to see most NES's run, and that includes moderators acting in the best interests of the players whom have already signed up, as well as for players who wish to ;)

perhaps you want a suicide mission nation; but putting yourself in that area is only going to led to quick conflict, and a lot of stress on part of the players of Carthage and Rome; leave all that to happen after your nation **** the iron age, at least- the bronze age should be about nation, territory and culture building, not outright conflict ;)

Also True Thomander.

And Inscessant War is not a good thing. Go to Azales Nes, I think my country was at war for all but two turns. See Result.

Still me And Sparta Just have to work together, He can claim all off africa and Western Europe I'll Get the Middle East and East Europe.

Then we collapse under corruption and inner strife....
