It is interesting to note that there is a connection between a belief in God or some higher power and the belief in a 'calling', for if you believe that you have a 'calling', whom do you think is doing the calling? I wonder if there is any connection between those who chose 'calling' and those who consciously profess a belief in God; and vice versa.

In any case, as a man of God, I would/am following a path that I am called to.

fun/easy/money.

Because that IS my calling. :p

I followed my calling. I ended up stoney broke with never anytime to do anything else. Maybe I followed it in the wrong way. Now I go for easy and fun with money. It's not nearly as fulfilling of course but at least I've got some spare time and pocket money.

I think it might depend on what one's calling was.

My calling is to contribute to a feedback loop of self-improvement ... I cannot how I could choose any other thing.

Fun/esay etc.. i can do my "calling" as a hobby...

It may be shallow of me, but I'd probably go for fun + easy + money. There doesn't seem to be a lot of money in biochemical research, and it is hard. After all, if I could still have journal subscriptions, and do Open University degrees, and read books and so on. I could always take a sabbatical too... it's the combination of easy, fun and money that gets me; if it was just two of them, I would find it much harder to chose.

All things considered, that is pretty much my stance on the issue as well.

MY calling which is why I plan on going to collage for 4 years and then makeing 30,000 a year as a journalist.

Easy fun money, no question. That would give me time to do more fulfilling things. Although, really, I'm arriving at the opinion that making a woman happy, building a stable and loving home, and raising a good family would be by far the most fulfilling thing I can do, anyhow, and the easy fun money option is much better for that purpose. (Of course, given the definition of "calling", it's possible this just means I haven't had a calling yet.)

My calling is also to kill large quantiites of people for no apprent reason. However that could be considerd what I do for fun so whatever....

Uhm...a "calling" for me is just something that I have a natural talent for and enjoy doing. oO

Where do you think that natural talent comes from? Luck?

Definitely easy, fun, and money. I mean, maybe I'd choose the calling if it were just easy and lucrative, but why wouldn't I choose something that's easy, lucrative, and enjoyable? Isn't that the main reason to do something else, anyway?
