I must be a member of the spoiled minority who have cable?
I rarely watch most of the channels you cited, network television just doesn't do it for me. Used to watch it when I was younger, but these days I find it severely lacking in quality and content and the constant commercial breaks are extremely annoying. When one can only 'see' 19 minutes of content every 30 minutes, there is something inherently wrong with the system. I Do support Commercial advertising, but do not find any sort of correlation between the frequency of it and the quality of network programs. So I usually watch cable. I'm paying up front (mostly) instead of having to submit to commercial interruptions and the quality is Much better.
Prioritized by time, my channels are usually on:
1) History Channel (best programming on tv, least bias. Favorite show? Ha!
Mail Call of course.
2) Discovery ~ Excellent science programming.
3) Comedy Central ~ My secret vice

4) Scifi Channel ~ I wish they'd do another season of SAAB or get busy on more Battlestar Galactica mini-series'
5) Foxnews and MSNBC (roughly equal time on both. CNN has become McNews, avoid it like the plague)
6) VH1 ~ if they have a concert or flashback show. Once in a while I surf videos, but not that often.
7) HBO ~ The Sopranos.. fuhgeddaboudit!
8) Whichever network is showing the Bears, Vikings, or Packers games on the weekend. This changes.
Most of my news and current events actually comes from newspapers, magazines, and occasionally news radio. Newspapers aren't as flashy as television news, but tend to be a little less biased And when they Are biased, they are much more open about it.
To be honest, I probably spend less than 10 hours a week on average watching the tube. I usually find much more enjoyment in a good book. Lately though, the internet has been consuming more and more of my free time. Haven't really decided if that's good or bad yet..
