The hand of the Lord flies now here, now there, and it smote not the heathens this year. But Sicily shall never fall to the heathens, and every true man in Christendom shall give his last breath to prevent the Marinids from advancing to where God has not let them for centuries.
We call upon Pisa and Venice to give their fleets to the cause without hesitation. And thou who falsely holdeth the throne of Jerusalem shall perish eternally in hell's flame if thou doth not defend your brother in blood and faith!
We call upon the heathens to flee from Sicily before the vengeance of the Lord strikes them down. Never will we relinquish Sicily in a treaty, for your oaths are sworn by Lucifer and a false prophet. Maybe once this is agreed to we might consider negotiation without fear of eternal damnation for conceding to you heathens.
Furthermore, we shall bless whatsoever noble crusaders that will defeat the heathen Mongols of the Crimea, reinstate a true Christian Khan, and strike down the heathen Genoese from their seat at Kaffa. Kaffa shall be granted by the grace of God and as a papal fief to the signoria of Pisa or Venice if they should free Sicily from the heathens and smite the Marinid fleet.
