Zombie Preparation

I saw it in a film?

EDIT: In Zodiac, it is mentioned that footprints were collected corresponding to "wing walking" boots used by aircrew, and that only someone with miltiary ID could have purchased it at a military exchange.

Never heard of it. Probably referring to on-base military stores. I remember there used to be a surplus store near my house when I was a kid where I'd buy all kinds of deactivated hand grenades and steel helmets for just a few dollars a piece.

Anyway

My 68 year old Soviet M1891/30 with bayonet attached. Excellent for defending strategic compromised breeches and doorways against zombies and other varieties of bipedal threats.

For back-up my Spanish Star BM 9mm.

My primary personal weapons would be my auto-loaders.
From top to bottom. PC-9 with ghost ring, 27-round magazine plus 4x15-round magazines. M70AB2 optional bayonet, with 4x30 round magazines plus 1x40 round magazine. NOTE: Primary personal weapon for conducting Anti-Zombie Combat Patrols (AZCP) And for +8 cool points a Colt 1851 .44 caliber revolver.

Plus a bunch of other guns that I can lend to any unarmed non-infected I come across while on Zombie Emergency Armed Search and Rescue Patrols (ZEASRP).

Currently in the need for a good tactical shotgun, maybe a Saiga-12 to step up my anti-zombie combat capabilities.

Oh and partner-in-crime:

This guy

Primary Weapon: Katana
Secondary Weapon: P90
Vehicle: Monster Truck
Fortress: Log Cabin
Theme Song: The Illogical Song
Partner In Crime (er.. zombie killing) : My Kendo Master
Last Words: A mix of a gurgle, scream, and shriek
Location: Cabin in the Adirondacks

Primary Weapon: Urban Sniper shotgun
Secondary Weapon: Sabre
Vehicle: Humvee (army version)
Fortress: A literal fortress in the sudetanland
Theme Song: It's Not My Time (by 3 Doors Down)
Partner In Crime: Winner, because I won't lose with him ;)
Last Words: I ain't got time for last words!
Location: Western Europe

Primary Weapon: Feet
Secondary Weapon: Feet
Vehicle: Feet (I'm trying to run, I have no access to guns and the roads will be packed with cars, see?)
Fortress: Some damn place in the Highlands.
Theme Song: Re: Your Brains - Jonathan Coulton, cos it's kinda inevitable :(
Partner In Crime (er.. zombie killing): PrinceScamp. He's rather good in Left 4 Dead, which is a realistic simulation, right? At the very least I'd like to see him ripped to shreds for friendly-firing me several times.
Last Words: Bite me!
Location: Scotland

Wasn't going to post in this thread, then thought of something worthy:

Primary Weapon: Arkenbat'leth
Secondary Weapon: Wrench
Vehicle: Equine, any non-unicorn
Fortress: Castle in the mountains, I'm not too original here
Parter in Crime: Cute blonde Mathamancer (of any domain)
Themesong: In the Hall of the Mountain King
Last words: There's no place like home!
Location: ... (hurray!)

Goal: Defeat and Destroy 2009's "Zombie of the Year" ;)

Primary Weapon: Everything I can stockpile.
Secondary Weapon: A hatchet.
Vehicle: Whatever works, main vehicle will be a sail boat though. I don't know how to use one, but my uncle does and I'm sure I can find at least one survivor who can.
Fortress: One of the many Gulf or Discovery Islands in British Columbia, preferably one of the less-inhabited ones. Can expand operations after setting up a secure base. There is a certain Island whose name I shall not reveal which has a fairly good base of operations already.
Theme Song: Yellow Submarine until I can find something more appropriate.
Partner In Crime (er.. zombie killing): My roommate, he won't go down without a good fight and is a lot stronger than I am. Also my uncle, since he has his own sailboat and has been sailing for decades. Anyone else I like who is not infected is welcome.
Last Words: We beat them. (Them being zombies, or maybe cancer, or in the not-going-to-happen case of failure, the people other people who did not survive as long as I did).
Location: Coastal British Columbia, Canada

Primary Weapon: Kinetic orbital projectiles.
Secondary Weapon: Plasma cannon.
Vehicle: Orbital weapons platform.
Fortress: See above.
Theme Song: Ride of the Valkyries.
Partner In Crime (er.. zombie killing): On-board ship AI.
Last Words: Firing commands and self-destruct codes.
Location: Low Earth Orbit.

Hmm, one reason I was avoiding this thread was that it didn't seem many folks were really engaging in much discussion/feedback. Though some answers are similar of course, I will say the "boat/yacht" idea is of course good.

Anyway, ICBM gets points for consistency, but also gets utterly wrecked when his platforms are taken over by the Zerg for vespene. If you're going to go outside of scenarios based on modern day Earth, you better be prepared to also deal with other threats ;)

Edit: Also, I remember missing out on the "theme song" thread here sometime ago and didn't want to necro, but responses to that item in this thread have likewise been good - and I've had Mountain King rattling around for a while.

Primary Weapon: Ride-on Lawnmower
Secondary Weapon: Lawnmower strapped to chest
Vehicle: Helicopter/Tug
Fortress: Oil and Gas platform
Theme Song: It's Good to be King
Partner In Crime (er.. zombie killing): Dachs
Last Words: None.
Location: Most Masaderite Antipodean Empire

How do you keep your ship from moving when you are not piloting? What if you're sleeping and you run into something? FULL OF ZOMBIES!!!

That's why a moat would be preferrable. Unless they figure out that enough dead zombies in the moat can fill it in and they start sacrificing themselves for the greater good feast.

Try and sail close to shore like that. :p

EDIT: I'm changing my companion to Undead Karl Marx, not only does he look awesome green, he can distract the Zombies with an exposition on Marxist dialectics.

Primary Weapon: Some sort of machine gun
Secondary Weapon: Crowbar
Vehicle: SUV of some sort.
Fortress: Something up north, preferably.
Theme Song: Otis Taylor - Ten Million Slaves
Partner In Crime (er.. zombie killing): My girlfriend. She knows far more about zombies than I do
Last Words: Numerous expletives, I'm sure.
Location: Somewhere up North.

 I'd preferable be in the Pacific well over 1000km from land, why does one need to sail close to land?

Water would be my primary concern.
