You have thrown away society. You forced the Outlanders out of Nesse society. As we no longer have a place in a society which wishes to take everything from us and give nothing back we will leave. We will go into self-imposed exile. Isn't that what you all want? The rest of the Outlanders want it so they can pretend to be part of a society they banished themselves from. The Elites want it for saying the truths they don't want to hear. The Exiles and the Nessers couldn't care either way.

If representation is so desired why not move into the city of Nesse? From there representation will guaranteed as desired. However Outlanders do not pay taxes nor do we desire being controlled by the senate. The Elites of Nesse understand that keeping the situation as it is is mutually beneficial. Outlanders require the Elites for protection from the barbarian hordes while Nesse needs food and a barrier from Barbarians that Outlanders provide.

Clan Masada does not believe we should ignore them. Words said in idle boast are a reflection of the true state of mind. It is not coincidence that the drunk curses his father who in days past beat him and set him on that path with the bottle as the end. It is therefore obvious my fellow Outlanders that these Thongs are ruffian and scum and mean to do us harm, for have they not just interfered in our rightful business and set them themselves up as one of us so as to do mischief? But we are the military might of Nesse to a large extent and we cannot move inside the city because we have no trade and there are no barracks for troops to live in. Face it all the so called Outlander 'Clans' are now 'tribes' distinct from Nesse itself. If you wish to carry on trading with the city that is none of our business. We will ply our trade, which is swords for hire, to whomever we wish. If Nesse or the Outlander Trade (we are automatically excluded as we have no trade of the kind the name refers to) Federation wish to hire us then they may. If other nations offer a better price then so be it.

A) No one gives a rat's arse about you leaving

b) The Outlands were *never* part of Nesse. Therefore, it is impossible to be "no longer part etc.etc.etc."

c) Nessen law *never* applied to the Outlands. Therefore, it is impossible for Nessen law to "no longer apply here"

Feel free to do that. The reason why it is the "Out"lands is because you're not part of the city. It just so happens that the Outlanders find it better to trade with Nesse rather than live by themselves as the barbarians do. If your clan finds it pointless to do so, then seriously just go.

We have little regard for the cities, but we do have a good regard for our Outlander brothers -- for we are united in our interests and our mutual affections for each other. OOC: Seriously while Nesse laws don't apply brotherly love only extends so far. You exist by the tolerance of your fellows in the Outlands and I'm sure our collective tolerance is growing thin. Why should we allow you to contract with our future and potential enemies solely to make money for yourself? When the hurt obviously has the potential to extend to your brothers in the advent of conflict.

In any case protection of law only extends so far -- I don't think any of the Outlanders will march to you assistance if the city dwellers decide to kill you. I certainly won't be -- not when the potential exists for your little scheme to blow up in my face.

The open hostility of the Bear Clan is not as bad as their threats to BURN the City of Nesse, and to withhold food to its' inhabitants. Nesser gold from the city supports the efforts of the Outlanders, and while we do not impose taxes and laws upon the Outlands, we have had a fair partnership for generations.

We hope that one of the first issues before the Senate shall be proper punishment of the Bears and of the Exile smugglers for their efforts against the city's peace and prosperity.

We feel we must make a note, that what you of the City so blithely call "smuggling" is no more than simple trade. Do not make the mistake of thinking you have any right to tax, cease, or otherwise control merchandise that is well outside the city limits. We ourselves do not sanction the practice, but neither do we feel obligated to stop these men from making a fair trade within our lands. If you of the City wish to tax yourselves into oblivion, that is fine; do not expect us living outside it to partake of the same foolishness.

Can an Exile be exiled from the island?

OOC: Yes, We already have absorbed most of Thong clan member to our clans and Thong clan has no money, no members, no nothing. They are dead.

Smuggled goods should be seized and the smugglers executed. After that, the goods should be sunk into the sea. The Ninticus Clan believes in a zero tolerance policy towards the devilish smugglers.

We agree with this, if there is enough evidence against certain ships, watchmen may board ships to check for illegal goods.

We however DEMAND that there has to be atleast TWO other house to OVERSEE the checking - just to make sure that the "watchmen" are actually obeying the laws not making up stories how certain political forces are actually smuggling and then throwing their enemies here.

We believe that This "smugglers hunt" is actually idea to excort (sp?) MORE money from any ship that lands into Nesse city - with this you'll destroy Nesse sea-trade. This "smugglers hunt" will probably be used against simple merchants, so Banner of Eagle could throw merchants or political enemies into exiled isle or (like suggested before) even kill him/her and keep merchant gold to themselves.

We only demand that Nesse Laws will be followed and that one clan does not gain power over others or gain money by cheating.

Please also note, that whatever trade is done in Orange Fort, is their business and you have no right to attack ships outside city limits - This will be treated as piracy and we have 0-tolerance towards piracy - AS DO ANY ELITE CLAN and ANY CITIZEN OF NESSE.

PROOF, RUMORS ARE NO PROOF. IF SENATE BELIEVES RUMORS AND ACTS LIKE THESE RUMORS WOULD BE FACTS, THEY DO NOT DESERVE TO LIVE IN NESSE! Besides that, Orange Clan is only hosting port - they are not taking any tax nor checking what deals are done in that port. Why your merchants prefer Orange Town? - They cannot deal in Ports of Nesse because of high taxes - Taxes are going to be rised even more to fund "fight against smugglers" and "Fight against Evil Barbarians", Citizens of Nesse already have high enough tax rate.

No one from Moon Shadow Clan is a smuggler - if caught with smuggling, they will be thrown out of Moon Shadow clan. As every citizen knows most of Moon Shadow Clan members are lawful citizens of Nesse, who got in the way of other houses..
