With the 54th pick of the draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select:

The fact remains that I would never choose him in the second round. His knees do him in, and until he can prove he can withstand NFL hits, he isnt worth a first day pick.
If he is sturdy enough, then its a great pick. But Jacobs was the second ranked quaterback and the beginning of the year! He fell because of his own small injury and his team sucking it up.

As said, Croyle has all the skills to be a good NFL QB, it's just that injury history that is a concern. But with Jacobs, the biggest concerns are that he lacks a competitive fire, gets unnerved when blitzed and throws off his back foot (I saw that way too many times this past season when watching BG games!). I feel he might be better suited for a West Coast offense and the Dolphins just don't run that.

Coach Lovey Smith-- We really expected this kid to go much earlier in the draft. He has the potential to be a all-pro tackle in this league. We like his athleticism, durability, size and long arms. He needs a little help with his technique since he gets sloppy at times but all of his problems are fixable.

Agreed but he won't be thrown into the fire anytime soon. He is a bit of an underacheiver, needs to hit the weights and get a little nastier (something I bet Olin Kreutz can fill him in on). But in terms of his physical tools he has the total potential package with lots of upside. Vince Young and the prolific Texas offense were not a one man team. Garza may not be around so holes are being filled.RedFusion said:

My objection wasn't serious, I agree with you. I think the Falcons will take him in round 2. If he lasts to the Broncos 2nd round pick, he'll definitely go then. He'll be very good in those two systems without bulking up.
