2020 US Election (Part Two)

I’m not sure about anything when it comes to Trump. But if true that government will pay hospitals to treat covid-19 patients for free Trump will have outflanked the useless party on the one issue they cannot really afford to be outflanked on right now. They’ll lose hordes of voters. Hopefully that will energize them into doing something, anything more than suggest roll back the SALT cap to help their multimillionaire donors. A complete headless inverted redistribution of wealth to the already wealthy in a financial crisis where 10 million Americans have lost their jobs in the last two weeks alone. Took over six months to reach those numbers in the great depression.

Look at the % not the numbers. US population is a lot bigger now.

It's going to hell in a hand basket a lot faster than in the Great Depression though. You're not wrong there.

What's that?

Fidesz is a right-wing, populist, xenophobic, Magyar nationalist/Turanist, Catholic conservative party in Hungary that in the 2000's under current Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban gained more and more electoral power between several elections on a negative, populist, attack-based platform of a "country and culture under siege," invoking the "toxic nostalgism," so typically of social conservative/nationalist political movements around the world, while avoiding the "Neo-Nazi," brand and excesses of the much smaller and more extremist party, Jobbik, to the right of them in Hungary, until Fidesz (and it's permanent and arguably no-longer really independently operating, coalition partner, Christian Democratic People's Party of Hungary) gained the needed 2/3 in the Hungarian Diet on their own required to constitutionally unilaterally amend or rewrite the national Constitution - and did, in fact, write a new one in 2014.

No, he's malicious.

I'm not saying he is or he isn't, as I don't know his REAL motives as a poster, but neither do you. It's time to stop PROCLAIMING people's beliefs, values, and motives for them, usually lacking real knowledge or insight on the matter, and usually just to make false and slanderous personal attacks on them. Like when you claimed at several different points I was a Fascist sympathizer or enabler. This slander you throw at people has got to stop. The fact of stopping persecution of yourself by insulting and lying about almost everyone around you (as far as is observable to me) seems very dubious and counter-productive, and makes you, in PERSONAL, as bad as many of those you decry or viciously argue with for REAL bigotry.

Don't talk to me please, your gimmick is tiresome.

I just don't have the fortitude to withstand another one of your sanctimonious lectures about how I'm apparently as bad as the people who make my life measurably worse off because I don't treat them with basic decorum.

You don't get to tell me anything, certainly not how to react to people who by their own posts have shown me that they are malicious and don't have minorities interests in mind.

If you seriously think me being more polite to people is in anyway going to stop bigots from wanting to either jump me and kick my head in or vote for a party that actively encourages discrimination against minorities then you don't have a clue and you need to stop talking as if you have any sort of valid point. Now.

There is no moral onus on me to be friendly or polite to those that enable discrimination against me and you need to get that into your brain and let it germinate.

Trump announced that the federal government will be paying hospitals to treat covid-19 patients for free. I'm leaning away from my "this pandemic assures the Democrats will win this year" position...
To what? To ‘ensures’?

I saw this coming a mile away, even before this virus emergency provided the cover: if put on a though spot, Trump would pick up the medicare for all, or something akin (but with a different name), just for the sake of political survival. And he'd win. It's obvious. And the democrats have played play right into it. They're hopeless.

LOL...easy on the arm there. If you break it patting yourself on the back you might not be able to type.

Oh.

Wait.

We could all use a drivel break. Carry on then.

Man every time I find myself even closely agreeing with you its horrible. I'm not sure what that says but its definitely negative about one of us :P

Feel better, because you most likely aren't near as close to agreeing with the nonsense Inno is posting as you felt like you were. As much as D'ump might like to make some kind of "M4A was my idea all along" play, it actually takes more than a tweet to make it so.

Now this is GALL.

First line. My "gimmick" is tiresome, but your "gimmick," is somehow justified and unchallengeable.

Second line. However you want to phrase my excoriation of your conduct, your unnecessarily vicious tongue and slander make you no new, friend, and only enemies and you didn't actually need (such as turning me, who is sympathetic to the base elements of the struggle you go on about, on your conduct and reprehensible attitude personally).

Third line. I can tell you whatever I wish, as you certainly don't shy away from making your opinions about everyone here known. And your own empathy for the suffering other has come down to the level of being cold, callous, and dismissive when it takes the spotlight away from your own suffering.

Fourth line. No, there is no MORAL onus, but many (and not just me) will judge you by your attitude in ways that will end up being much more of an impediment to you than any help.

Conclusion. The world is a messed up and screwed place, and great injustice, corruption, unfairness, atrocities, and crimes are never punished abound. Each of us only has limited power to change or improve a small part of this. But, what we have the biggest power to improve and better is ourselves, within, and that is a good starting point to make a difference in the world around us.

What trump says and what he actually does are two different things entirely.

Like most politicians, in any country, of any political persuasion. That's not remotely a unique quality to Trump. If anything, it shows he may actually be earning the true label of "politician," and not just "businessman," and "showman."
