Again...

Spoiler Wahn wanh wahn :
In other news... I think that the escalation in Trump's treatment is a good indication that we are done with debates. Ironically, I don't know if that's a good thing anymore, since he could now be confronted with his karma on live TV...

But thinking about it... Biden probably wouldn't do that, so... probably preferable that there are no more debates.

Might put more focus on Pence and Harris. So far it appears Trump is clinging to power and will let go only if he's on death's door, or is actually dead. This is probably out of ego - I'm not sure what he would have to lose by letting Pence be acting President.

I really hope he survives, is voted out, and then brought to justice for his crimes. I suspect the party will turn out to support Pence otherwise - it would take time to make any fraction of Americans realize Pence is worse because he supported Trump the entire time without resistance at all, and isn't so insane and polarizing that he shoots his own cause in the foot time and time again.

Agree that Trump dying isn't necessarily optimal. Have you voted for Biden yet?

Not yet. I aim to vote in person on Election Day. My state is guaranteed Trump country, and always votes Republican these days even though those candidates do everything in their power to tear down popular bipartisan bills here.

That's a popular excuse "my state always does XYZ"... I'm having none of it. Our Country is Threatened! Protect Us! Do Your Duty!

Relax, he said he was gonna! Geez.

Meanwhile, D'ump is not going to allow "hard working Mike Pence" to sit in the big chair for a minute. There is no way that Trump doesn't look bad by comparison.

I am going to vote - I'm just griping about my state of Misery.

It absolutely is a duty to vote, especially now, and I want to be able to say I did something about this crisis. The only methods of bringing about political change are voting, violence, and massive amounts of networking and/or bribery, and the last few options aren't exactly options!

People who do survive Covid can still be substantially affected in their mental-physical strenght and stamina for a long period of time.

POTUS for another 4 years of someone now 74 years old ?

Ofc Superman is not affected by that.

Yea my county went 2:1 for Trump last time. I'm very curious to see the ratio this time. That ratio will be important to me. Just how many of my neighbors will blatantly vote for this level of stupid angry **** twice?

My district in my town (a very small area, roughly 8 blocks or so) went 8:1 for Clinton, which I know because my dad is on the county-level Democratic committee.

Then again there is the head of Eu who has been chancellor since the napoleonic times.

For a week, I have taken a vacation from posting. And look what I come back to. In totality, it's quite appalling in content and tenor.
It's rather irresponsible of you, in my view, to take a one week vacation from your tenor-policing and expect that we will all remain at your favored standards on that front.

Trump's side has chosen all of the above.

Fortunately God voted last week and he's riding with Biden.

You say that, but I'm afraid that when Trump "miraculously" recovers he will become even more messianic to his followers...and it will be used as evidence that the virus is no big deal.

I wonder also--from his "I get it, now" video from yesterday*--if he does recover his health, one of the appeals will be: I really understand this thing, from the inside. Biden can't possibly cope with the Covid pandemic as well as I can; he's never himself had Covid!

It's too soon to know how this is going to play politically. But Trump's efforts to project strength might actually be over-exertions that hinder his recovery.

*unmistakable sign of his narcissism, by the way; only once it happens to him does he understand it.
