I JUST AS SOON FIGURED IT WAS A REFERENCE TO MERKEL SINCE GERMANY WIELDS SUCH DISPROPORTIONATE INFLUENCE IN THE EUROPEAN UNION, VOTE!

Spoiler :
THE ALL CAPS IS BECAUSE OF TRUMP'S TWITTER TODAY, VOTE!

Seems like he's flying high on steroids. I was on them once for a back injury and man....the euphoria is intense and it makes you hyperactive. Makes you wonder why the 25th hasn't been invoked yet.

THIS IS GOING TO BECOME A MEME! VOTE!

Trump campaign surrogates are beginning to attack Biden for his lack of personal experience with the virus. The Trump campaign is also selling $100 commemorative coins that say Trump defeated Covid, unironically.

I really don't see what the point of worrying about Trump rallying his base. He has spent 4 years rallying them. They aren't enough to win an election, not even close. And they would get rallied for anything.

Trump if he had half a brain, could easily be cruising for reelection, or at least honestly in the running. Instead, he is relying on a fluke.

It is now looking almost certain that Trump tested positive prior to traveling to attend events on Thursday as his physician admitted the late Thursday positive test was confirmative - doctor speak for a second positive test.

He did not quarantine after learning Hicks had it which is against CDC guidelines and led to more avoidable infections. He also refused to test prior to the debate despite having agreed to it which makes you wonder if he already knew his inner circle had been infected at that point.

Chris Wallace has attacked the Trump family for refusing to wear masks at the debate after agreeing to do so as part of the rules.

A current Secret Service officer has spoken anonymously to CNN and complained that they are being treated as expendable in order to foster his political stunts.

It's an avalanche of bad news even as his team tries to rally and spin.
That's a pretty classic characteristic of conservatives in general. "I've overcome adversity and am successful. I never hit the roadblocks you speak of. Therefore they do not exist."

Why? Rutte is also chancellor, clearly a leader of the Eu, and has been in power since the beginning of time. It's why Hrothbern asked an honest question.

if Rutte would be "the" leader of the EU he would swiftly end all federal United States of Europe ambitions....
not more EU... but first digesting and implementing a big backlog of past formal decisions of the EU that are heaped up and completely overwhelmed by more new decisions that fit politics hypes of the moment in some countries.
Only green climate as EU prio.
But he made very clear when successors of Juncker and Tusk were on the agenda last year that he was absolutely not interested in EU positions but is rather PM for his own country.

But yeah he is now for a long time PM in the Netherlands (10 years) and has a good chance to become again PM after the next general elections in March 2021.
And he will keep on saying no,no,no to EU politics bubbles, to federal EU pawn moves and be a flak taker for the small countries in the EU who do not want the German-French axis to dominate.

Not the thread for this. Frankly, not even the forum or the world.

The WH press secretary Kayleigh McEnany tested positive this morning.

this is good... let the infections continue to ravage through the gop...!

let them pass... into the light

Plenty of power hungry creeps waiting in the wings to take their place. Won't do any good. Better to hope they learn some empathy and humility from the experience. Not likely, I get it, but they won't be replaced by better people, that's for certain.

The really good part on this one is that we now have a clear line source for the infections ravaging the white house press corps. She was exposed, knew she was exposed, and not only didn't quarantine herself but refused to wear a mask when she went spitting all over the press room. Reporters have to be there to do their jobs, and sometimes being a reporter involves risks, but they generally don't take it well when people intentionally attack them. If someone from the press corps dies I would bet money there will be a wrongful death lawsuit with the full power of the media behind it.

And that lawsuit couldn't happen to a more deserving **** than Kayleigh McEnany.

Putting aside the rest of quality points in this post, of which there are many... I have to just say that that 10 second video made me do a double take.

Speaking to Glen Beck, ostensibly about his great, manly bootstraps... Craig T. Nelson says, quote: "I've been on food stamps and welfare, anybody help me out? No!"

Wait... what? Dude... you just said you were receiving food stamps and welfare! THAT IS HELP YOU DUMBASS!! :shake:

Reminds me of when people who served in the military and parleyed their military service into a career say they hate big government and that it never helps anyone.

It's been a while since he said that, but IIRC, here he was arguing against Obamacare and government intervention in healthcare which makes his comment double-ironic.
