4:15 -AM- EST turn chats!?!?!?!?

I get 5 to 6 hours of sleep during the week. More on the weekends. It's a nasy habit I picked up in the Navy and was burned into my eternal psyche during my time as a system administrator.

The last question in the Executive debates was a new one from disorganizer asking if Presidents intended on having chats and what time they would be holding them.

I was speaking in the past tense or trying to. I didn't notice it then, I'm not taking the time to check now (I trust you), and I remember now your various declining offers for leadership due to your time schedule.

Yeah nasty habit, I try to make sure I get 8 hour minimum. Of course College is trying to "cure" me of that.

Perhaps if I started going to be at 8 at night, I could actually wake up early enough to go to the chat, and stay awake (through most of) school. Otherwise, without a major schedule change, I'd only get 3 hours of sleep....

Basically, as long as spot votes aren't used to change any sort of plan, and at least 2 people (not including the president) are there, I'm fine with it.

I am guessing there will probably be another T/C at a more convinient time like on the weekends or late in the week. Also, I will probably be able to attend the t/c a week from this Monday(if its stilll the same time) because there is no school

4:15 AM turn chats would be impossible for me to get to on any nights before school; I *might* be able to attend them on Saturday or Sunday mornings, but *definitely* not Monday through Friday.

my point is clear:
shaitan is right. we voted for him
and this will finally fore us to clearly lay out the decissions for the president. some things will only change when people are forced to do their job right
anyways, i believe maybe the department could even find chat-reps for that hour

maybe a compromise for shaitan:
what about having one early chat on weekdays and a late chat on weekends?

I believe he proposed that earlier. He would play an early morning game, and I'd play a game around the 'normal' time.

Well, I read the debates, and I remember seeing him say he would hold very early (US time) turn chats. I voted for him, anyway, knowing what it might mean.

The most important thing it means is that the various department heads will have to be very clear and explicit in their turn chat instructions.

We elected a President to lead us, not to follow along with our every waffle and quibble! Shaitan is just going to make all of us, every citizen, not just department heads, do our jobs and participate in this game.

In my opinion, it is selfish to complain that for the first time in history you cannot attend turn chats. I don't remember there being much complaining every term from our non-American citizens that the turn chats were not convenient for them.

As best I can tell, this chat is pretty much inconvenient for Americans and many Euros. In America, it's 4 am. In Europe, that'd still be only 9 am. I just think this is a bad idea...
Having these chats at such ungodly hours, I believe, is contrary to the spirit of the Civ Democracy Game. How can we be a democracy when a majority of our citizens will no longer have the opportunity to have themselves be heard during the turnchats?
We can't even be a Republic, as many of our representatives will be unable to attend as well. Maybe Civ DespotGame would be a more accurate name

@SAAM - Yes, the Chain of Command hands the DP position to the highest ranking citizen at the chat. If I'm not there and Octavian X is, he is the DP for that chat.
