I actually investigated Pykrete for my physics A-level.....it's only really effective in large quantities, and using proper water-absorbing sawdust (and not mdf sawdust)

The SS did and they went and paterned the designed and the wehrmach had to pay a for each uniform they made. The US were next however due to certain friendlyfire incidents all uniforms were deployed to the pacific front instead.

As far as I know, the best they did was to use khaki, which, while not being the bright blues the French marched into battle in 1914 with, wasn't exactly camoflauge, either, it just made them less blatantly obvious.
That was unintentional. The dust made their clothing the same color as the ground.

The Germans started using the camouflaged Zeltbahn shelter quarter back in 1931 and that was often worn over the normal uniform.

My thinking was that since it remained in use up until the 50s the organisations that used it, namely the Heer, Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe would have used it from the day Germany attacked Poland. I suppose its possible that depending on your definition of clothing, or the start of WW2 that this item doesn't count, but I'd be intruiged as to what answer you have.
