Well reorganize your society and make it so people enjoy riding on trains more than boats. Also, get rid of all the islands, and smush all of the Danish Empire together to make it a large country which could actually get good use out of railroads.

Getting rid of ALL the islands would mean that I would lose at least a 50% of the Metropoli surface and half of my remaining territory, thus leaving me only with the colonies in Africa and Jutland, not to mention the fact that it would get my people ÜBER-pissed if I even dared to SUGGEST that idea in the Folketing.

In all seriousness though, Denmark simply doesnt use rails like most other countries. THey are far more invested in shipping overseas rather than overland.

Yeah, well, I know that Denmark has less use of railways because it isn't as if they have the greatest metropoli. However, I'd say that it would give me a small boost considering that commerce between Jutland and the islands would become easier, as Copenhagen would be easier to reach than when it was reduced to waiting for ships to come with supplies.

I hope that my idea has any good effect in the future.

There is the chance that use will improve in the future, but for now, people view it as in the way of real commerce by sea.
