We did not address Virginia due to Virginia overall not being considered threatening. A sneak attack against the neutral peaceful Metis can hardly be considered a great victory. We would hardly view Virginia as the sole force in the North either when the Canadians, Quebecois, New English and the army of Chicago were there. A Clear Statement by the Government of the Métis Syndicate

The Métis Syndicate has never joined the military alliance of the Socialist International- our involvement has been in technological cooperation and discussion of political ideals. What we did was:

Recognize the original government of Canada as the legitimate government of Canada.

See that government collapse due to a lack of support from the Canadian public.

Recognize the Peoples' Republic as the legitimate government of Canada.

Permit supplies and personnel to travel through our lands and into the territory of the Peoples' Republic.

If you investigate, you will find that the contributions of the Métis Syndicate to this conflict have been entirely humanitarian, providing medicine and aid to civilian populations in what was once the unified region of Canada.

Any actions which we have taken which are offensive to Virginia have been done to prevent the rise to power in Canada of an organization which has supported the ethnic and cultural cleansing of francophones, and has propagated the idea of a 'Manifest Destiny' of Canada, where it will rule from Québec to Nouvelle-Caen. We cannot, in good conscience, stand by and allow this government to come to power.

We were part of a Québec which wanted nothing to do with those of mixed blood, and during the Great War we preserved francophone culture in the region, rather than letting the west fall into the hands of the Canadians.
