A Brave New World Part 2

Kentharu could you please reply to my PMs.

Im going to sweden the day after tomorrow and i would like to get all my diplo finished before i go :)

(No Internet in sweden :p)

With EQ's semi-legendary method of althisting, I highly doubt that.

I see your head STILL hasn't exploded. Will have to step up my efforts. Had a conversation about Churchill, the odds of him existing are rather low in my opinion. Considering the wars in the Americas and Britain over the past forty years, his surival likelihood is rather low. Same goes for the Beatles and any other RL Britisher born after 1900.

I wouldn't say such a brash thing unless I was moreorless sure it was true. I am however interested in your POV.

OOC: But fortunately, QUEEN survived. No amount of war and strife could keep Freddie Mercury from entertaining the world.

OOC: Indeed. If Queen doesn't survive, this world is not worth living in.

From The Russian Federation
OOC: Alright two things.
1. How would Sweden not see this
2. Did you just behead your own king?

OOC: Yes I just did behead my own king. It was the right thing to do I think. Hopefully this wont backstab me. I'm sure these times ahead will be VERY FUN for me.;)

It will backstab you. I appointed a new leader through peaceful means because Ordonez was too old, and even that hurt.

Ouch, then I'm going to die in this NES. I'll just stick through till the end and come back as a new nation, if I get the chance.

To Louisiana
From Virginia

The deaths of Louisianian civilians was not out intent when deploying our new technology, I assure you. Nor did we ever target civilians, like the French did. We are using our new weapon for the betterment of the millions of freedom-loving Virginians, Louisianians, Pennsylvanians, New Engladers, Algonquin, and so on.

From Virginia

On the contrary. The UCNA has been pushed thousands of miles back from their previous advance. They are increasingly abandoning their lines in the face of our superior armies. Your casualties were more than four million just last year.

There is no need for war to continue at this pace. Let us begin negotiations. He are our initial terms for peace between the UCNA, Metis, with Virginia, New England, Algonquin, Pennsylvania, Chicago, Texas, Louisiana, and Cuba.

1. UCNA withdraws all forces from the former Kingdom of Louisiana and the Texan Republic.
2. UCNA renounces all claims to support the spread of socialism in Canada.
3. UCNA renounces all claims of support for the Jamaican communists.
4. Virginia and Allies withdraw all forces from the Metis Syndicate.
5. Virginia and Allies withdraw all forces from UCNA Lakota territory.
6. A 5-year NAP will be signed between all parties at war who are included in this treaty.

7. UCNA will remove its support for the abortive Union of Nicaragua.
8. Both sides will exchange any wounded and prisoners taken during the course of the conflict.

To: Empire of Virginia
From: Henri Robichaud, Representative and Governor of the Occupied Métis Territories

High words, sir, but what then have you done to the undefended villages in the northern Métis nation? While your efforts to wipe out the communist insurgency are laudable, is it really worth the cost in civilian deaths and lingering anger?

Note from René Rhéaume, Chairman of the Horticultural Union, to Henri Robichaud

Do not presume to refer to Sauvage as a communist- it is lies like that which brought these tribulations upon our nation in the first place. You shall not take advantage of this situation to further your own particular conservative political positions.

It seems to me that the UCNA is making more sacrifices than the allies in that treaty. Since so far there has been a net-gain for the UCNA (Metis=Louisiana? Lakota=Texas?), that deal should be sweetened.

The UCNA started the war, and is on the defensive, being pushed back on all fronts. I fail to see why they should make any less of a sacrifice.

Of course, if the UCNA were to make a counter-proposal, we are willing to take it into consideration.

OOC: They lost over 4 million men last year alone; we didn't. Their entire Caribbean fleet was sent to the bottom; ours weren't. We rule the skies; they don't. Their coastline has been under near constant bombardment for a year; ours aren't. They are trying to hold down massive swaths of territory held by well armed and determined hostile populations; we aren't.

Georgia will be at Mexico City in a few years, save your treaty until proper victory has been achieved.

The UCNA is being pushed back? Hardly our forces are on the verge of total victory. Your foolish Imperialist actions in gassing civilian populations will only turn the people of North America to the Communist cause. Our armies are stronger than ever and the allied coalition continues to be divided. We also did not start this war. Texas and the Algonquin invaded us for what is still an unknown reason.

Our counter proposal is simple. The UCNA will annex land from the Algonquin, Texas and Louisianan Empire up to the Mississippi River. The Metis Republic will be reinstated under its former government. Virginia and New England will pay the UCNA 5 EP for damages caused against the population of the UCNA.

OOC: Respectfully the whole speech was not churchills, there was just that snippet that i thought was suitable... so there ya go.

You started this war by committing acts of war against my ally, Canada.

Virginia did not gas civilian populations. We gassed the UCNA invading armies. The civilian population will be a bit more sympathetic to our cause since we are fighting this war completely on their behalf, attempting to liberate them from an invading army.

Furthermore, we are happy to treat with UCNA if the leaders would propose something that is actually workable.

OOC: Eq, how is it that Louisiana lost 62 manpower from gas, while the Europeans only lost 102? France was targeting civilian centers, while I specifically said to target troop concentrations and NOT civilians. I could see possibly some civilians dieing from misuse and accidents, but it just seems WAY to high. Not to mention the fact that Europe is MUCH more densely populated than northern Louisiana.

This war started when UCNA and SUSA chose to support the so called "People's Republic of Canada" and further exacerbate the Canadian civil war. New England and Virginia and those who fight with us are fighting this war to ensure such happenings do not arise in our own nations, or those of our neighbors.

Why should the Algonquin be annexed? You hold none of their territory, and they have made great advances into your own country. Your forces in Louisiana are being attacked on four sides and will not be able to hold out for long, which will completely cut off any hope you have of resupplying your forces in Mississippi. The people of Louisiana and Texas have shown that they reject the "Communist cause" and do not wish for it to be oppressed upon them, yet you continue to occupy and they will continue to fight you, causing you no end of trouble. You will not be able to manage the regions you occupy in Texas and Louisiana without killing the entire civilian population out of hand, which would not be very benevolent of you and would gain you nothing. Every inch you advance, you will continue to face staunch resistance from both military personnel and civilians.

This war has cost all of us much already. We are offering fair terms. If you choose to continue this war of aggression, we will simply bleed you dry as you have to fight your way across the continent of North America against people defending their homelands from the Communist horde. Your nation will suffer massive casualties and have very little to show for it, save millions of deaths and untold amounts of destruction, as we have shown that we are more than willing of inflict.

OOC: I'm under the impression that the Virginians gassed Métis civilian populations suspected to be holding Syndicalist Insurgents... EQ, is this correct?
