A Brave New World Part 2

Enough ragging on bestrfcplayer. It is pointless. I would just advise you all to ignore him.

EQ please remove bestrfcplayer from this NES. His lack of commitment is not funny anymore (nor has it ever been).

I sent in my orders! Doesn't that count? I'm also trying to make peace! So if you all hate me so much, then why don't ya just invade me and get it over with!!! (Just kidding on the invasion part...)

OOC: Just wait... once Sweden gives the ok armies will be all over Alaska. Just watch.

OOC: I realize this is about to seem pretty hypocritical but since nobody seems to be listening then I think for the sake of progress we can let it go. There are in fact some of us who are very invested in this NES and would HIGHLY APPRECIATE IT if all the SPAM could stop. For starters that means posts that are just OOC-messages. Those are clutter. Plain and simple.

@chemhater, send me a Private Message is my heartiest recommendation. I'll give you some good starting tips and so forth, though you're off to a better start than some of our other new additions to the forums.

@bestrfcplayer: Please, for the love of god, take the advice of those giving you it, and take my advice. Alaska is a nothing country, while your committment to peace is admirable and to be frank, actually in character (to a degree), I'd highly recommend you leave everyone's answers at "no" and take the best advice given: stay silent and learn from the pros.

@Those concerned about bestrfcplayer: Yes, he's irritating as hell. He's more of a "newbie" than most of us ever were. His grammar is terrible (though vastly improved from what it once was) and he seems to have the impression that he needs to post as much as humanly possible (though that's a fault not just shared by him, even on this thread). If he stalwartly refuses to take advice, then I will boot him. I have given my ultimatum, he has little room for further screwups. If he provides us with another epic fail, then he can learn how to NES from somewhere else.

This would bethe 48 Hourish warning. Costs will be posted for all unique units, but I have decided to delay the format change for next update.

I make one last plea. There is only one change that we want made to this treaty, in Clause 1, which currently reads:

1. All hostilities between the Allied nations and the UCNA (and Metis Syndicate) will cease.

We want this clause revised so that it may read as this:

1. All hostilities between the Allied nations and the UCNA, the Metis Syndicate, and the SUSA will cease.

We will then reconsider offering our support for the Treaty.

If Canada does not sign the treaty then we will ensure the independence of our friends in the Metis Republic by force. Canada would be best off agreeing to the treaty of Baton Rouge freeing it up to continue its fight against Quebec.

From: The UCNA

The UCNA will not push for SUSA's inclusion in the treaty of Baton Rouge with them not being a true participant in the war however we will make it known that if any of the "allies" mentioned previously by Virginia attacks SUSA, Chile or Argentina as per the terms of the Socialist Alliance we will defend our brothers. This should avoid any confusion if any attacks against these nations have been planned.

The warmongering Pennsylvanian government would better spend its time focusing on its own domestic issues than continuing a war against a nation only seeking its own defense. Pennsylvania's forestalling of peace will only serve to increase friction in North America further.

China understands France's position on the Metis issue but believes that further dividing the alliance united against the communists is not wise. Perhaps France can take back its declaration of war at least until some form of diplomacy is done?

Canada has virtually no historical claims over the Metis. While China strongly dislikes the Metis government, we will admit it is not quite as disgusting as the ones in the UCNA and SUSA. China urges Canada to continue to fight Communist aggression but not by attacking the Metis.
What is it in particular that China finds distasteful about our Syndicalist Democracy, or that actions which it has taken? We wish to clarify and explain any misconceptions which may exist- we have no desire for enemies.

Just a note, while this is true in real life, in this timeline there are no English settlers in what is today known as 'Western Canada', and that two full nations stand between yourself and Canada.

As Serge Sauvage travels south from Fort Résolution to Winnipeg in person, a gesture of good will, to sign a ceasefire with the Virginians, he prepares a statement to the Métis people and the world at large.

The Métis people have struggled greatly, but through the efforts of the noble nations of North America, an end to our occupation has been secured. However, the Canada First movement has now revealed its intentions which we have feared for years- that it intends to annex the lands of the Métis into its nascent empire.

This will not be tolerated, by ourselves or by the world at large. Our friends in the United Collectives have announced their support for our cause, and the Virginians maintain their intentions to uphold the Treaty of Baton Rouge and ensure our continued independence. Even the distant French have threatened to directly enter the war with Canada, should they not back down.

I do not wish for war- our people desire peace, to recover from the violence of the last two years. However, we and those who support our cause shall not back down should the forces of Canada advance against us.

Vive la Grande Syndiqué de la Métis!

The very little in the way of relations between our two countries have always been positive, though your membership within the ISGC, an organization which openly tried to overthrow the Chinese Government, is not looked upon highly here. The Metis need not worry. China does not view them as enemies. Perhaps in another world, where the nations of SUSA and the UCNA acted more wisely, we could have even been friends.

OOC: Yeah, it's kinda funny, my partial membership in the Socialist International has made me a lot of enemies. Sometimes I really wonder whether membership is worth it- François Cloutier, my previous leader during the time of the Métis Republic, was a staunch neutralist (not that it discouraged him from actively inviting Swedish and German industrialists into the country), but the Métis Syndicate, since its inception, has tended towards the ISCG due to a lack of alternative allies. Given the situation right now, we are torn between feeling quite indebted, and feeling that, had the ISCG not signed this peace, we would have re-emerged as a democracy again, within the Virginian sphere of influence.
