A Brave New World Part 2

While they're cute I think it would be neat if all the microtribes were wiped out consolidated under a single hegemony north of the American states. Iceland should go kick some booty and unite the Arctic since Canada and Quebec are going to start a war if the other side tries to unite the disparate geography... a possible if inefficient solution except both sides have patrons that stop the war if Canada either side is about to finish the other off.
Hmm... I wonder if the two of them would unite against Iceland or any other foreign catch-em-all collectibles uniter faction.

OOC: Seriously, peace is nice.....:p

I am sorry, EQ, but i have to drop out of this NES for the time being. I will continue to watch and read!

OOC: I think I'll do a statistical study later for the game to shed some additional light on how the Axis manpower situation was maneuvering around the shallow end. As much as I like voting this is definitely one war democracy lost. Reviewing the situation two years post-war France is ruling the World's Largest Empire on a military roll of somewhere over a million men (counting a brigade as 3k), navy and airforce included after demobilizing while Italy is somewhere between 1.5 to 2+mill. Then there's reserves of course for another hundred thousand for France if doubled and Italy at a quarter of a million doubled while Russia has almost four times the infantry of France and another five quarters of ten million in reserve if doubled (though this gap is of course now shrinking fast (it already has somewhat despite the continued Axis warfare), a fairly inevitably development after peace was signed). But even moreso the unhealthy mix of pacifism followed succeeded by interventionism (in succession style) did much more damage than democracy ever did to a conclusion benefiting Russia. A massive pre-conflict army would have ended the war whilst no involvement would have saved Russia the effort.

Other than no Russian or Islamic Union intervention this war could not have gone better for the Axis as regard lynchpin events. Anyone ever play that time agents board and card-game? Hehe, that's where I truly learnt the use of the word 'lynchpin'. It's a pretty word and suitable for chaos logic, ne?

I wonder if and how a corraling of a democratic Russia with a somewhat pacifist past to several years more of fighting against the will of the people would've worked out, and if that might've been possible while preserving democracy... we'll never know.

On another note I would encourage the other Louisianian factions to band together against the vodoo bastards or even intervene if I was close, but it's really fun to watch these unique factions kill each other! Too bad my favorites died out. Baton Rougue was really kewl!
Fortunately Texas or New England will solve things probably (Virginia seems to be busy). Not sure how I feel about losing a contained result though its for the betterments of the Louisianians.

OOC: Yes the game you refer to is Chrononauts. And believe it or not I completed my mission once in one turn. Will never happen again. The game usually lasts about 45m - 2 hr. I won in 3 minutes. It was wonderful.

I am sure both myself and Crezth are fully aware that we kept up the fight, I would be in Paris by 1948. The problem is my damn democracy keeps screwing me over.

The people of Pennsylvania demand that you pelt us with ostrich eggs, as they are even bigger and more likely to give us concussions.

We are only using the largest eggs we can find within our borders. If you were to give us the ostriches, we'd use the eggs.

Perhaps if you were to contact your French overlords, they would be willing to ship you some ostriches from their African colonies. :p

Perhaps you Quakers are right! We should ask our French overlords for ostriches!

If by "ostrich" you are referring in Jerseyite slang to "bombs, materiel, tanks, planes, and equipment for destroying Pennsylvanian socialists" then yes, certainly!

Apparently we are unable to have an ostrich nor its eggs and need to bomb you instead. Sorry.

I apologize for being unavailable for questions or diplomacy over the past week, I've been given more hours at work and this keeps me busy. First order of business: this is the 48 hour warning until the update.

As for those North American islands, why don't we just give them to the Inuit Nannut and forget about them? I was hoping no one would notice that so I could just turn control over to the Inuits without anyone seeing that I did so.

@The Supervisor: I reevaluated your position and previous stat creation, and determined that yes, 5 Stability is correct.

I am sure there is high Quebecois influence there.

OOC: Yeah, I was rather twitchy about how long it would take to catch up on MP when I was in the Axis (about twenty years, allies not included). That Russian manpower reserve... stands out.
That date seems a bit early imho though. They would've had manpower till then and till 1950 if they'd tried to equalize or pass by on hardware (I just had a look up and maybe you're right... there isn't much hardware left). But with all those Swedes and Dutch navy and allied money pouring in I agree it definitely seemed inevitable.
*wonders if the comment about 'damn democracy' was coincidental or purposeful foreshadowing of some sort*
Maybe democracy should have more economic side effects as well as boosting stability (when the elections don't turn sour that is).

Bombs can be ostrich eggs. I'm willing to bet an ostrich egg at terminal velocity would send quite the message indeed. Maybe you can buy or smuggle some out of the New Englander colony? :D

ooc: EQ to be quiet honest i didnt even know they were under New holland control until SOME ONE pointed it out. Plus they serve no purpose to New Holland, besides being on opposite ends of the earth. So the Inuit can have the islands.

OOC: Arctic expedition base? C'mon, have a stupid senseless war over it. A company of marksmen versus a brigade of Inuits!

Incidentally I'm thinking of setting up one or a few Egyptian bases on the Antarctic, but I'm afraid I might lose stability over it. :P

OOC: Mmm and Antartica holds more in terms of natural resources too, once you get under all that ice

OOC: The Arctic has the oil fields. Of course one has to figure out how to find them first and drill offshore that deep. :p
