A Brave New World Part 2

THat's a good idea actually, it'd certainly be a good place for it.

OK sorry for posting in the old thread but I didn't think this info really belonged in the new one, I got my swedish pal to translate the proper names for the political parties, here they are:

Listist Party: Lististpartiet
Greater Scandinavian Party (Formerly the Unity Party): Partiet Storskandinavien
Swedish National Party: Moderata Samlingspartiet
Swedish Democratic Party: Socialdemokraterna
Socialist Party: Vänsterpartiet
Swedish Worker's Party: Svenska Arbetarpartiet
Swedish Anarchist Party: Svenska Anarkistpartiet (removed) *edit

Turning England into Scotland would actually require you guys to man up and try to land here... Though i get the feeling your just going to wait it out until you can vaporise cities from far away... sad would be nice to find some French who are man enough to try and take us on in England...

I'd say that the Anarchist Party is quite strange, since Anarchists are against bourgeois politics, but then we Spaniards have some experience with that (we were the first country that had Anarchosyndicalist ministers in the government, after all).

Yeah, my friend was saying it seems kinda unlikely, so I might have to take that one out. I just figured there might be a real small minority in the total government but who knows. Probably not even worth mentioning, now that I think of it. So, we can cut the anarchists.

The full amount of stats for the new NES has finally been added. All nations, in all regions, now have their stats for the new NES. Progress report time I guess. The final touches to the ruleset are being made now, and the NGO stats still need to be completed. I'm waiting on contributions from bombshoo and crezth to finish up the designs post and map, respectively. Assuming that both submit (or even neither) their contributions this evening, we'll be all set to go, with the first update being Sunday.

I did make considerable progress on the map... four nights ago. Since then, system instability and inclement weather have made it difficult to get any further. I'll try to do more but I must regretfully mention that it is possible that I won't have a map up in time for launch.

No worries. We'll work around it, if you want to keep trudging away at it, we likely won't have an update immediately anyways. I've hit a few snags myself.

Well, good news (and so soon after the bad): I finally got my image software working again after taking a few more swipes at it, and have recovered all of my data. Currently, the Western Hemisphere is done... with Asia and Australia to work on. There are a few problems with city placement but I blame that mainly on the more specific scale of the map, so I've been working around some problems as best I can. Fortunately, however, I'm on track to have the map finished and running by tomorrow or Monday at the latest. (but knowing me I could be as late as Tuesday)

As long as we have it by the first actual update, wherein I believe Austria, Hungary, and Bavaria are due to return to existance.

No foreseeable problems on this end, then, except a wealth of time which may or may not make itself existent.

@Omega, I'm not sure conehead is going to want Louisiana back or not, you may want to check with him (conehead234).

I apologize for the delays once again, but it has been a rough weekend for me, and things are getting behind.

I am intrigued by this new manpower rule, and how it can allow JTK to have nearly as much manpower as Russia. Can't wait to see how.:)

@EQ: The stats for ABNW 3's Swedish leadership is wrong IMO the Unity Party would not be in power right now as they're not nearly as popular of a conservative party as the Moderata Samglingspartiet would be (Though they have moderate in their name, they're actually conservative) because at the time they were elected the Unity Party ( now called the Partiet Storskandinavien ) was not that popular being that Finland and Norway were all part of the nation and the only part of Scandinavia not under control of Sweden was Denmark, Iceland and Greenland, which I highly doubt people would have wanted to join the empire at that time. So, you might want to change the leadership as it is not very believable. (Even though it is a conservative party, like I said, the Moderata Samlingspartiet was the most popular con. party at the time.)

Hihi. My friend told me about this place he quit but is lurking in and I thought I'd join. May I reserve and eventually be the Catholic Church?
