A Brave New World Part 2

Hey sorry for not sending orders, was on a 13 hour plane trip and then landed at school and got settled in, all in all I went ~35 hours without sleep so sending orders wasn't on my mind as I was almost completely out of it. I've got two classes this morning, after that I'll try to send in some quick orders, sorry about not sending orders before I left but I miscalculated the amount of time I had to send orders and get ready to go to school... and getting ready was higher on my list of priorities. I'm sure you understand.

Once again the athletes from Pennslyvania have a stunning performance bringing home a grand total of 0 medals from the Olympics. :p

OK, I just talked to EQ. The update is done, but his laptop and internet are having a fight and refuse to speak to one another. Once they have reconciled, the update will be posted.

Working on getting my laptop interweb up and running again, a tech guy should be coming in an hour or so.

Oh, good. I'm kind of blue, and an update might cheer me up.

Hopefully your laptop isn't an HP Pavilion. If it is, I hope it's not what went wrong with mine. That's not fun.

Apparently I have to do a lengthy rebooting process of some kind. Hopefully, the problem will be fixed by the time I get home today.

Yes, I did recieve your orders. I'd like to update ya'll on the ongoing process of my laptop and NESing information. At the moment it seems as though the laptop is in a death spiral and I'm desperately attempting to recover my saved information from 7 years of NESing. Though some of it is backed up already on a jump drive, the past 10 updates and events/stats/tech tree are not backed up. With the laptop no longer recognizing neither disks or jump drives, I may be unable to recover the update or stats for the update. I hope this is not the case, but I felt I should warn ya'll that this NES is in grave peril for its existence as of this moment.

Ain't technology wonderful!

It sounds like the HP thing I was worrying about, and that rebooting process only made things worse. The only answer I found was to send the laptop into HP and have them replace the faulty motherboard (for free!!!).

Of course, if your laptop isn't HP, then this really doesn't apply. But this does sound A LOT like what happened to my laptop. It sucked.

Crossing fingers.

Y'know EQ, if you know any IT guys or care enough to call Geek Squad, they can probably salvage info on your hard drive - even if it got fried.

Yeah, I'm hoping on that. With luck the NES will be saved.

I can probably recover everything depending on the extent of the problem. If it is only a motherboard fault the disk should be fine. The main prob is that I'm in Australia but it can be a last resort if required. :)

ABNW must not fall!!!!

we could just resind are ourdes and you could redo the up date
it would suck but it would proble be the quicks way
