A Brave New World Part 2

From: Texas
To: Louisiana and St. Louis
CC: Virginia

We would like to call all parties together to discuss a cease fire and potential end to these conflicts in the ex-Empire of Louisiana. The location of the meeting if all parties agree can be held on neutral ground. Perhaps Virginia would be able to host us and our intentions of peace.

Come back here and take what's coming to you! I'll bite your legs off!

To the leader of the filthy, Godless Quakers:

With the crossing of Quaker soldiers across the Delaware River, you have officially arranged your and your peoples' deaths. We will make sure every single Quaker inside New Jersey is dead. We will hang your men from the lamp posts and trees, send their severed limbs to you in gift wrapped packages, and make sure their bodies are unrecognizable to God, let alone their families. The men doing this will do so with a smile, while those unarmed you oppress will cheer and celebrate our efforts. We will fight you anywhere and everywhere, in the cities and in the fields, in the hills and in the swamps, and from the Atlantic to the Delaware.

You may not feel so now, but you will fear us. Your strongest and bravest men will soil themselves when they see us...for they shall know that is the time they will breath the last breath of life. Your fear shall spread like wildfire through your ranks, and soldiers will plead not to be sent to our land. You will call us monsters, savages, beasts...and you shall be correct. We are the demons that haunt your dreams. We are Devils, and you have entered our Hell...our land of fire and brimstone. Devils, taking pleasure in torturing and tormenting the heathens God send to us.

Here is my face. Remember it well, for the next time you see me, it will be your last, and I will make sure of it.

From Egypt to the World

Will anyone provide us with a financial loan of 16 EPs for the the coming year, please? We're willing to pay back 18 over the next four years in installments of 4, 4, 5 and 5. We would see this as a favorable act towards Egypt of course and the establishment of a natural platform of goodwill.
Any stipends, grants will be eagerly considered and Egypt is ever enthusiastic towards development aid. While this ancient nation is mighty on its own it desires to reach up to Western standards by finding friends willing to guide her.

From Egypt to the World

Egypt hereby votes for the city of Milan to host the 1952 Olympics as we prefer their proximity to the center of the Eurasian and African landmass and their membership but not primacy in the Co-Axial Pact as well as the prosperity of the city and the exotic beauty of its alphine neighborhood.
On a related note we also wish to publically denigrate the Quebecoise in their unprovoked verbal and written attack on the French. In such a neutral situation as the Olympics Quebec should merely state its advantages and any objective disadvantages to Barcelona rather than bringing international politics into the dispute. Going so far as to insult another state in advocating its own candidacy is untasteful and against the spirit of the Olympics. Egypt would like to state that this sentiment is not partisan in any form as we are neither pro nor anti-French, though we do hold normal, friendly diplomatic relations with them.

From Egypt to Texas and St Louis

We state our support for either the revival of the Empire of Louisana under the current St Louis government or for the annexation of the region under the state of Texas. The salient factor in negotiations must be the destruction of the Vodoun government who should be locked out of aforementioned negotiations. No Islamic country such as ours can watch by idly without voicing our objections as pagans attempt to overthrow a people of the Book.

OOC: Just curious... now that the Indian rebellion has been crushed why hasn't the 7 EP budget they had annually been returned to French India?

Moreover a humble concern about the economic stat now that we are on the eve of a remake of the rules. I thought I'd bring up a player suggestion of my own. It seems that any big developing or currently improverished nation (like China or Virginia) have a hard time raising their economy without using projects regardless of whether they have as much potential as a small underdeveloped nation. A small, rich nation or a resource-less and desolate area on the other hand have good potential to grow from having small economies. These differences seem to be well moderated out of the end result, but perhaps if the ability to grow economic stats were tied to resources, population and trade routes in 2.2 this would result in big economies being able to compete with small ones to the full extent of their inherent assets without using projects which are after all termed as wonders and are perhaps more of a special effect nature? Just some ideas I thought I'd ping off on y'all.

Egypt expresses its support for the integrity of the Virginian Empire and her Protectorates and hopes to increase trade with her to help lift her out of the economic recession.

Egypt protests the atheist occupation of New Jersey.

OOC: Jason, I could start if off with 'It's Just a Flesh Wound', if you'd like. ;)

I thought, however, that the metaphor would be more fitting if we skipped straight to the stage where all of my limbs were missing.

From: Quebec

Clearly Quebec City is the best city for the Olympics in 1952. There is more than the world than France, send them that message and vote for Quebec City. Do not feed the Co-Axial Domination. Quebec City is a stable, clean, and scenic city; ideal for the home to the Olympics.

This will be some much fun.:mwaha:

We can lend 16 EP this year, however we will expect 20 EP to be paid back over the next four years. Furthermore if Egypt should suffer from foreign aggression over the next 4 years we may be forced to act to protect our interests.

OOC: There's a loveable skit online on that exchange involving Shinji and Asuka of NGE. I missed the reference at first (as well) though, those hardy Syndicalists are liable to say anything if they can fight year after year under an iron thumb! (Actually I was never exposed to or adored M.P. as much as most others though the Holy Grail is exceptionally good even for that team!)

Egypt accepts gratefully if this is the final offer! With your loan and our own budget we shall finish our industrial research and the Aswan dam this year. The triumvirate, Arabic Egyptians and Coptic Egyptian Christians look with joy forward to increased Franco-European and Egyptian prosperity in the years and decades ahead.

The Yucatan is a Mexican state with a large part of the population considering themselves Mexican. The few Mayan nationalists clamoring for independence stand no chance at victory.

Your intervention in internal Mexican affairs is only causing great harm to both of your nations and your people. Mexican victory is certain and your efforts will only delay the inevitable. Cease your invasion of Mexico or continue to face heavy casualties in the field.

To: Honduras
From: Mexico

Your governments claims that Mexico authorized and participated in assassination attempts on higher levels of Honduras' government are false. Mexican operatives for one would succeed in their objectives and even if they would somehow fail they would never surrender their identity. We would also have little to gain from such a move.

Mexico believes that these assassination attempts were instead performed by Guatemalan operatives seeking to bring Honduras into the current conflict on its side. Guatemala's actions have succeeded. Mexico however is willing to overlook the rashness of Honduras' actions if her forces withdraw immediately from Mexican territory.

It is clear that the re-conquest of the Yucatan will require more resources and more men than the province is worth. Perhaps you should reconsider your determination in the region?

Also, Virginia has been willing to overlook the Mexican infringes on the Treaty of Veracruz for the past years, but we would like to remind you of article 4.1 The Mexican army should be capped at 100 infantry brigades, 10 AA brigades, 10 AT brigades, 15 artillery brigades, 5 light tank brigades, 5 heavy tank brigades.

Mexico is also in violation of her air power restriction. Virginia would like to remind her that Mexico is barred from treaty at possessing any aircraft that is not defensive fighter plane.

Furthermore, Virginia protests the involvement of Mexican special ops in the assasination attempt on the Honduran president.

It is because of what the agressive government in New Jersey has done in the Delaware River that we were unfortunatly forced to invade and occupy their country. Not once, not twice, but three times over a span of a few years have they attacked and harrased Pennsylvanian shipping. First they set mines in the Delaware, sinking several Pennsylvanian ships and a Virginian one. Then they attempt to tax our shipping on a river we partially own. Finally, they rerout all Pennsylvanian shipping through the Delaware Bay, under the ridiculous pretext of pirates. We are grateful towards Virginia for their attempts at making the New Jersey government see reason, but sadly it was not to be. However, now both Pennsylvanian and Virginian shiping will be able to sail in peace on the Delaware River and Bay, without fear of New Jersey.

Your claims of innocence are absurd, we have captured over two dozen members of the Red Brigade, over half have confessed to being ordered in by your government, and their statements have been made public for printing in any press internationally. We believe that this is solely for the purpose of attempting to assert your political dominion and will over the Central American region. We stand by our allies in the Good Fight against your aggression. We will not bow to the big bad wolf of North America.

Do not try to flaunt your imperialistic muscles here. Pennsylvania will neither withdraw from New Jersey, nor pay them anything. Their agressiveness towards our shipping caused us to invade them and sealed their fate. They have only themselves to blame.

If you would insist on declaring war on us for such a pointless matter, we would remind you that by the Treaty of Rome, you are not allowed influence in North America, not that we expect your kind to keep true to any treaties.
