A Brave New World Part 3

While New Holland finds this action radical and likely to create difficulties for the Pennsylvanians rather than help them it feels the socialist government has been in charge for way too long and is thus unable to outright condemn this decision. New Holland shall await the evidence of the alleged crimes and consider the results of the coming occupation before making its personal moral judgment on the conflict.
- Theodoor van Gogh, President of New Holland

In fact Pennsylvania is not governed by a socialist party, but rather a conservative government.

To New England
From Virginia

Your blatant act of aggressive expansionism easily shines through the haze of lies bellowing out of Boston. Rescind your declaration of war and all of your forces from the border of Pennsylvania so that a neutral investigation may be launched into your malicious charges.

This is your last warning.

To Chicago, Miami, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Pennsylvania, Canada, Fox Republic, Lakota Sioux, Deseret, New France, New Jersey, Quebec
From King Henry III of Virginia

For the past century and a half, North America has been the battleground of the planet. Our people have suffered the violence of war like none other. We know the experience of war, we know the damage it can do and the wicked spirit it creates.

It doesn't have to be this way. From the ashes of the Second Great War can arise a new North America, binded by peace and united by prosperity. I know my country has been the source of much contention in the past, but I offer it now to the entire continent as an arbiter of peace and a seed of prosperity. We cannot afford to head down the same path we've been on. We cannot devolve into what once was.

And so I call to all nations of this continent: stand up for a better American future. Stand up for Pennsylvania. New England must be stopped so to build for our part of the world a land that forgot war.

You seem to have passed over our nation.

To: New Holland

Pennsylvania is conservative, not socialist.

To: New England
From: Quebec

We condemn this warrantless invasion. Quebec suggests an investigation into the matter held by observing members of a third party as a peaceful solution to this problem.

OOC: Comments? Well, the SUSA really doesn't care much about North American politics. In our opinion, they're both losers and capitalist swine. But it appears to be New England's last attempt to become a power to be reckoned with, and it will fail. Hopefully it won't start a world war.

OOC:
In order to restore peace and stability to the corrupt military dictatorships based out of various cities around the globe, the Russian Federation hereby sending a full armed and operation peacekeeping mission into Ukraine, Finland, Poland, Crimea, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Galicia, Greece, China, Japan, Korea, France, Italy, in order to rectify the wrongs of recent massacres of Red Cross aid workers in that "nation"s. We will be moving to create an occupational government to prevent further atrocities and to rehabilitate and develop this once shining beacon of liberty. We pursue this course of action, not only for the safety of ourselves and all of this lawless nation's neighbors, but to better the lives of the world populace.

Am I doing it rite?

To: the World
From: New Holland

Our government has been a bit out of the loop on current North American politics. Apparently the unworthy socialist government of Pennsylvania has been replaced with a standard conservative military dictatorship. New Holland sees no reason to condemn an attempt to absorb such a nation, though perhaps she would prefer for the invader to have taken an honest tack. Despite this it is becoming clear that the democracies of north America are universally opposed to this move, and as it is the communities of democracies in any given region that should be the final arbiter of justice in said regions New Holland in deference to the broad democratic consensus of the region hereby condemns the New English invasion and expresses its moral support for the will of the regional community of democracies in the face of questionable aggression.

The Nanyang Republic (Borneo) is saddened by New England's rush to war, and reiterates the words of its friend New Holland.

We wish to offer our assistance, as a neutral nation unconcerned with American affairs, to either mediate or assist in mediation efforts by any party.

Regardless, the Nanyang government echoes the calls by Virginia. We call for a one-month ceasefire by all sides involved in the current conflict, such that this dispute can be settled and the headlong rush to war can be averted.

New Holland agrees that there is much wisdom in Borneo's stance.
While the community of democracies led by Virginia should not be questioned in their judgment of regional matters it is the hope of New Holland that the community will remember New England's history as a longstanding and gloriously storied nation and treat them kindly and without humiliation.

In light of the recent actions in North America, we defer to the wisdom of the Quebecois government and pledge our full support to whichever course of action you deem necessary in direct relation to the issue of New English aggression.

No more orders, new or old will be accepted beyond this point. I will still accept however, "I'm still in this NES" PMs if you failed to get in orders for this update.

You should list them in order of power, not by place.. that would be more interesting IMO.. otherwise we may as well just look at the stats.. :mischief:

Oh... well, I guess I've been in a more regional frame of mind since I'm playing a regional power, plus the logistics of the game where most don't have navies. I guess I can add world '#world ranking' next to them. : ) Thanks for the nudge, this might be a nice way to get them both.
Then otoh, I guess I'll just smack 'em into a second spoiler below the main (at least for now) since that's faster.

Nijeria condemns New England's aggression and will do whatever it reasonably can to maintain Pennsylvania's legitimate sovereignty. We applaud Virginia's sentiment on the issue.

Venezuela looks on with mild amusement. Make sure you tidy up your toys afterwards children...

I put you in the Middle East if you (and EQ) do not mind... I didn't think after the hijinks pulled in WWII that France would ever let Egypt influence Tunisia (or hypothetically other parts of Africa) again. Want me to move you back? (PS. I also took some liberties guessing that you'd be between Turkey and Rashid Arabia, but I'll put you on the sideline with an N/A marker if such is desired.)
