Re: War
From: France
France has this past year been increasing the value of its interests in Louisiana. We are proud of the safety and sanctity of our colony, and seek only to keep the peace and make the trade. However, the sudden wave of militarism which has swept the Southern half of the American nations we feel endangers our interests.
It is for this reason that we consider it necessary to intervene, unless the involved nations come to their senses. As it is, France will not bring its arms to bear because the conflict is still somewhat isolated. However, should any neighboring nation not currently in the conflict decide to increase its influence by means of military expansionism, including Virginia and Ohio, then France will be forced to protect its interests and act in a lethal fashion to restore peace and order.
We understand that Virginia may feel as though blood has been spilt wrongly. However, if they should lose their minds and attack Kentucky or Tennessee or Carolina or what have you, then we will step in.
This is a friendly warning from your friendly neighbor. We hope the conflict can resolve itself, and peaceably, so that we may all continue to prosper.
