Wait, if you sponsor an uncivilized nation, do you have to give them IC, or is it just saying, "Oh, I sponsor you." because I read through the rules but I didn't see anything that said you have to give them IC just that they need to have a sponsor before they can learn the 3 civilizing techs.

you do not give IC to sponsor a nation. "sponsoring" only unlocks tech. The uncivilized nations have to pay for the tech themselves.

BTW, once more i'm highly recommending against uncivilized nations expanding. There will be blood.
