As the AFP and ASGP are perhaps in coalition, the two parties must in the interests of civility discuss jointly backed candidates before we propose our members for positions in government. America must be put first, and that means things must be done in polite consideration of those parties who's goals are in the interests of the american people.

The Communist Party will hold its Second Congress to decide on the candidate for the next Presidential Term. It's always nice to do a bit of traveling, so we will hold the Congress in the glorious newly established city of New York. The land for the piece was bought off from the natives with beads and trinkets - curiously the first ones of us there wanted to name it New Amsterdam, but the city founding documents show it as New York. So it shall be.

He forgets that the beads were diamonds, and the trinkets golden ornaments beget with precious stones ;)

Sparthage, your party is basically the same as mine. I also will declare for New York's Senate position.

Oh and steel knight could you please vote in the GaP election on the electoral chambers social group.

-

IC: New Amsterdam is a perfectly acceptable name. This is America and all options for names are on the table and indeed New York is a thoroughly british sounding name reminiscent of the hated enemy who oppressed us long ago. I would suggest that any representative in New York proposes a name change to New Amsterdam or even better Columbia to glorify America and remove all unnecesary british names from America's civic record.

I shall be running for the position of representative of Washington in the AFP ticket.

First, to my fellow citizens of New York, Steel Knight and Sparthage:

Under different banners, we all hold the same goals. I suggest that, however the coming election turns out, the three of us (and like-minded joiners) act as an Expansionist Coalition of sorts. We distinguish ourselves from the Communists and AFP/Gentleman's coalition because we hold not just an ideology, but an actionable direction for the country (held separate from this group is the notable exception of our current President, to whom we owe the founding of our great city, and who despite his eccentricities seems thus far to have proven himself sensible). Because of this, I feel we are obliged to band together to prevent the country from being swamped in useless political rhetoric. If we prosper, perhaps it will coalesce into a more long-term arrangement.

Second, to settle the matter of campaigning:

In this hype of election season with candidacy announcements left and right, we must not forget the needs of our people. Two issues demand our immediate attention: New York and Washington MUST begin work on city projects, preferably Scouts or Barracks; and we must adopt Social Policies as soon as possible! The power of our culture is so great that over the last congressional session we have missed 3 or 4 opportunities to advance our cultural stamp on the world. Pursuing the principles of Honor (to Warrior Code and Military Tradition), Liberty (for all the usual reasons), and arguably Tradition (for fast border expansion) will all be key to the dominance of America in the centuries to come. I beg our president and our Congress to begin addressing these issues immediately, and I pledge to finish the job when in office myself.

Third, to answer those concerned with the name of our new city, New York:

New Amsterdam holds as much a whiff of the Old World as New York does. Given the as yet limited scope of our powers as a country, no action should be wasted on renaming our cities to match the mere fashion of the time. Our country shall be so great that the York of antiquity shall be forgotten completely, and New York will be known as its own power across the world.

And finally, to Chief Justice yahzuk:

It doesn't say so in the rules, but are Senate and House elections only voted on by residents of that city? That would be the real-life analogy, but I want to be sure.

Perhaps your grand expansionist coalition would consider joining the AFP/ASGP coalition. We most clearly see the necessity for expansion at the present time, with such an action clearly being for the greater good of America in accordance with our manifest destiny to unify the continent.

I, The honorable TaintedTamt, announce my candidacy for the position of representative of Washington. I also call for the creation of more workers so that the great country of America can prosper quicker.

The ASGP supports Jehoshua as representative for Washington. Assuming the AFP supports Chgrogers as representative for New York.

most definitely.

To make things a bit clearer, here's a list of who's running for what...

President:
No One Yet
Representative of Washington:
Jehoshua (America First Party)
TaintedTamt (Communist Party)
Senator of New York:
Steel Knight (Expansionist Party)
Representative of New York:
chgrogers (Gentlemen's Party)

To my fellow expansionists:
I propose that the Expansionist, American Fist, ASGP, and America First parties band together to form a coalition to back our expansionist ideals.

Furthermore, I officially invite GreyWithAnE and any other Americans with similar positions to join the American Fist Party.

We will back Steel Knight of the Expansionist Party as the Senator of New York at this time.

I, arya126, Dragon of the North, hereby join the America Fist Party and announce my running for the office of the presidency in order to remove the incompetent Ceskari that has neglected the very working class he claims to work for! Workers, capitalists, clergy, unite! Back me, and remove this corrupt fool from office!

Together, with a united government, we could build America to be at the forefront of the world, and the greatest civilization not only of this age, but of all time. This cannot happen with Ceskari blocking the way with his so called communist ideals, even though they are barely communist, and more like anti-american!

Welcome to the party Tss77 :goodjob:

-

As to Sparthages suggestion, the AFP will naturally accept this grand coalition against the communist menace and to propogate the greater good of America. Of course though we will require the acceptance of such a proposal from our friends at the ASGC, we cannot be in two contradictory coalitions and as such they must accept as well for the AFP to ratify its inclusion into this coalition which I hereby dub as.

The Destiny Coalition

in reference to its goal of achieving america's manifest destiny of claiming our great continent.
