A New Dawn Beta Builds

One thing i just noticed in the last three games i played with 4.5, if i put alot of workers/units in the queue they all of a sudden, all show up at the same time:crazyeye:

Also noticed that Fortified Outpost and Palisades dont do what they say for defense.

No real significance?!?!?

Afforess -- first off, I must admit, I am old enough to be your dad. So, you are kicking butt with multiple generations of Civilization players with your mod.

One day, you will be 40+, in some god-forsaken job that has long crushed your soul (believe me, it will happen, it happens to everybody) -- and you will be looking forward to the next release of something (in this case, your updated beta) to help pass the time while you sit in the airport with a 4 hour flight delay due to weather.

And you will be eternally grateful for the efforts of someone like you. And the energy and dedication that you put into this mod. And you will realize just how significant this is. Remember this moment -- it isn't like being the first to Liberalism -- but pretty damn close.

Keep up the great work.

I'm building the final installer as we speak. The other two I tested I forgot files.... I do alpha test this stuff ya know. :p... Mostly.

Probably another 10 minutes or so guys. ;)

Just one question, did you already update the ANM features for iSpread or should I upload it to you? 'Cuz if you already did, then that's great, I'm thinking of cutting off the independent ANM releases to just be available through AND.
 
Yes, Civ Fuehrer, I have fixed the iSpread feature. To test it out, just stick an insanely high number in the XML. Like 9999999.

To everyone else,

Beta5 is out!

If all goes well and no more game-breaking bugs like were in beta4.5 show up, I'll move it to an official release.

Two Key Questions I want answered while you test, so after a game or two, please report back:

1.) Is the AI better or worse?
2.) Are the AI building inquisitors?

The questions are on the OP in case this gets buried.

Have fun, go beta test and find me some bugs!

Reminds me. INSTALL THE BETA OVER A CLEAN COPY OF ROM 2.81!

My uninstaller is currently really messed up. At this point, I'm near the point of just scrapping it all together for a more streamlined install process...
 
getting a "Bad end of central directory record" error on install. Update, nevermind, corrupted download
Afforess, are you having trouble with the download server? All downloads are cutting off at 72% completed, this is like my 6th try?
 
Currently D/L'ing at 32kb when I normally get 100kb+. Too many ppl trying to D/L at same time?

I think its probably still being uploaded. I get to 73% now and speeds downloading for me are a super 2.45MB/sec :D
 
is 68.6MB what you were trying to give us? If not, then you may have the problem...

Going to test install what I downloaded, hoping the above reports are one or two people thing...
 
The downloading bar says 95.4mb...but like everybody else i'm getting 68.5, 68.6, 68.7 mb.

I think it's still uploading, or something wrong.
