You don't say! Catapults are very useful. And if you have proper advantage in numbers (lets say 8:1) of units, you can get a chance :cool:

that was the best part! my opponent was out producing me 5:1
 
First of all, thanks for bringing all those mods into single pack, really awesome work.

Secondly, i am having very weird repeatble CTD now. Current game is Gigantic, Snail, RoM 2.81+AND 1.55, im one turn from discoverig Steam Power. After i end my turn and some time passes civ crashes. Now weird part - i tried loading earlier autosaves, which didnt had that issue, but now i have CTD's on them too, whereas i obviously didnt had it before. I tried cleaning civ cache, didnt seem to help ...

Any particular files i should look at? Or maybe i should attach savegame here?

[edit] located source of my troubles - it was Joyo's Brown Theme ... Somewhere in logs i found error log with something related to unability to load fonts etc. Once i removed Brown Theme folder to another one i was able to continue ... Strangely enough during process of all this i was able to load and play turns like 150 or so turns before current but ones 5-10-20 turns ago would CTD when ending turn ...
 
hi there, I'm in a current game with the mastery option selected and i managed to build the ascension gate for the scientific victory and instead of just continuing the game I won a scientific victory.
wasn't the mastery option suppose to overwrite other possible victories?

sorry if the problem was mentioned before, i didn't read all of this threat.
 
OK another Random crash when i won a battle and it gave me my first General. (see screenie)

Also, i have been taking out one module at a time and see what happens on the Classical era crashes (all just after 105 turns on Quick/Normal) and when i took out my Red Theme or Jooyoo's Brown Theme, i have had no crashes except those that happen with the Revolutions or previous posted post, but as soon as i was going to write this, poof random crash.

This particular CTD kept repeating itself in funny way - when i have it and dont have Brown Theme as running mod, i move it to active mods and play till it CTD's again, then when i get CTD again i move it out etc. etc.

I'm curious to know how (and where) you are able to get such code like this AFTER your game crashes and makes you have to restart the game....

Its in the My Documents/My Games/Beyond the Sword/Logs, look for PythonDbg.;)
 
OK another random crash, this time i just entered the Barbarian area, and poof crash?

Hmm, it seems that Rom/AND doesn't like you lately.....

As for me, I use 2.81/1.54 and I have to say that I usually get one or
maximum two CTDs per game, which is acceptable. I always use giant maps
and at least 12 CIVs since the great speed improvement in AND allows
to do that.
 
LOVE the mod. I just installed a new dawn and the 1.55 patch. when I play, I get a long list of errors on screen. I am running visit so I have run civ IV as admin AND turned off UAC. still get these errors. I will attach a screenshot. they all begin something like:

error in beginplayerturn event handler... and end with 0x0E90BA30

I tried to find a log to send but have not found the logs on my computer and have looked everywhere for them.

any help is appreciated!

Can you verify that AND was installed correctly? Check the Civilopedia for a new concepts section at the bottom.

I have all the latest things, the Mega civ pack, A New Dawn, and I'm in the 1600s AD of a Gigantic map on Epic speed, so this is like turn 1640 (coincidence that the latest turn is 1640 AD) out of 5700.

The last time this happened was when I clicked on the minimap. When I re-load the game, it doesn't do it again. Before then, it just crashed whenever. And now it just crashed upon ending turn.


None of the logs I've looked at have any information on this.

Please post your A New Dawn log (Located in your Rise of Mankind folder) and a save, and I will look into it.

Aff, i think i catch a bug here.I think it haven't been reported before.I was playing as Spanish.I have a guard in my city, and i have all the requirement it needed to upgraded to city guard.The pedia said that it also need castle in the city.So i build citadel which is Spanish version of castle.But i still can't upgrade it(the upgrade button doesn't even appear, while usually, where i can't upgrade because i don't have the requirement, the button would be grey).Then i use WB to add castle(not citadel) to my city, and now the button is appear.
 
I'm joining a chorus about failure to uncompress.

And joining the chorus in saying that I didn't touch any of my xml after starting a game. Obviously, I have enough experience to know when a thing is savegame compatible or not.

Okay, so please provide details. Maybe a copy of the savegame in question? Not sure if there's any software available to look at it or anything.

Something?

(One of the lone voices who did touch the xml, so can't be used for general troubleshooting.)
 
I cannot mod AND. when i installed it for the first time, i played it without editing any of the files and it worked. I started a new game and all the new features was there. However, when i started to mod the XML, everytime i start a new game, it loads to about 25% then i get abnormal program termination error. The changes i made are all working, as they show up in the civilpedia on the menu, but when i go to start a game it crashes.
