I got stalked by a woman twice my age at the mall a couple weeks ago; women can be creepers too.
:yup:

There was some major current affairs story over here recently about some woman in her forties who left her husband to marry an 18 year old boy, then abandoned him for a 16 year old. The fact that she was hideously ugly left me wondering how desperate for sex these two were.

Middle aged women perve on me all the time, especially single mothers. I don't really understand why, but as long as it's harmless, I don't care. I haven't had any creepy weirdos stalk me in a while.

Why is it an affair when a woman in her forties does it with a fourteen year old male, but it is paedophilia when it is a man in his twenties with a female who is 16?

I'm psychologically incapable of hitting a female* due to conditioning by society, therefore they do pose a threat to me.

*Except my sister and then only when she has done something truly awful.

At least here it's the other way around. 16 is the age of consent. In other words, I can tap all the 16 year olds I want, and none of you can stop me. Wait, what?

Just imagine the creepy middle-aged women are crossdressers (some of them may well be). Then you can hit them.*

*Then civ_king will become psychologically capable of hitting them. I don't want any mods hitting me with the mod-stick for condoning violence against women. Except the Kardashians, of course.

Far-Right Extremists Chased Through London by Women Dressed as Badgers

A rally by extremists from the British National Party and the English Defence League was dwarfed by opposition campaigners staging rival protests in London on Saturday 1 June.

Shortly after lunch, a die-hard core of around 50 BNP and EDL supporters was confronted outside parliament by hundreds of activists from anti-extremist groups including Unite Against Fascism and Hope Not Hate.

But in the event, both groups were upstaged by agitators of a different stripe. Decked out from head to toe in black and white, the group that won the day were campaigning neither for race war nor ethnic equality, but an end to the government's cull on badgers.

They chanted: "Smash the cull! Smash the BNP!"

BNP candidate Clifford Le May was left with a bloody nose after being caught up in a rival enclave of human rights activists.

The BNP's leader, Nick Griffin, had earlier backed down on his threat to defy a police ban and march on Woolwich after the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby. Rigby's family had issued a statement appealing for calm.

Police invoked powers under the Public Order Act to force demonstrators to move back from Old Palace Yard, demanding activists from all sides return to their pre-arranged areas.

At least 58 anti-extremist campaigners were arrested during the course of the afternoon, most of them for obstructing the path of the BNP and EDL, who had been granted permission to march by the police.

"It's a shame we can't just cull the EDL and let the badgers march. Who wouldn't want to see marching badgers!" said protester Ian Power on Twitter

And it was the pro-badger campaigners who appeared to steal a march on the political activists.

Young women dressed in fake fur were seen chasing doughty nationalist supporters down London's Whitehall as a large number of security forces in iridescent jackets looked on from police lines.

Led by Queen guitarist Brian May, protesters in fancy dress demanded an end to the government's cull of badgers, brought in to stop the spread of bovine tuberculosis.

This is the best weird news story ever.

Those girls led by Brian May...

Cheers for posting the photo. Tablet wasn't letting me copy image URL.

To be fair, I certainly wouldn't allow a lightsaber on a passenger aircraft. Those things are a hull breach just waiting to happen.

Australia row over PM Gillard 'small breasts' menu

Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard has said a menu for an opposition party fundraiser that made crude comments about her body was "grossly sexist".

It offered up "Julia Gillard Kentucky Fried Quail - Small Breasts, Huge Thighs and a Big Red Box".

It looks to me like Julia Gillard is somewhat ginger, hence the last point (I guess). Sorry if this is a bit crude, I thought it was hilarious. Partially because I find the line above funny, but mostly because some Austrialian thought this was acceptable in this day and age.

I tend to agree with her. We don't find mockeries of male political figures demeaning their physical form, but we find it regularly when the leader being mocked is a woman. I'm all for mocking, to be clear, but not when it's done in a, well, sexist manner.

How much you wanna bet the authors and approvers of the menu joke were male...?

There are far better ways to poke fun at political leaders - resorting to gender-based grade school tropes says more about the jokester than the target of the joke.

The menu also apparently made jokes about the former PM, but that doesn't make this any less appalling.

It was a male restaurant owner at a fundraiser for a (well-known to be a tool) male member of the opposition party.

I don't know really. According to political cartoonists who were really worried their caricatures would be accused of being racists they all heaved a sigh of relief when the days that gave the USA its first black president also gave it the first orange Speaker of the House. I think this is bumpkis, the level of joke in the menus was about synonymous to the level of a dick joke, but dick jokes are mostly just in poor taste, not sexist.

Ok, maybe... but at what level does phallus humor rise to the level of sexism?

If the restaurant owner was female and served cocktail wienies to the Daughters of the American Revolution and called them John Boehners would that be sexist? :dunno:

Sexism is in the intent, not the content?

I don't get it.

Ok, I laughed. +1 Peter.

I was trying to flip the genders around to find out if it's sexist or not.

Man calls Solihull police to complain about prostitute's looks

A man has been warned after he dialled 999 to complain about a prostitute's looks after meeting her.

West Midlands Police said they were contacted by the caller who said he "wished to report her for breaching the Sale of Goods Act".
...
"The caller claimed that the woman had made out she was better looking than she actually was and he wished to report her for breaching the Sale of Goods Act," a spokesperson for the force said.
...
Sgt Jerome Moran, based at Solihull police station, called the man back to offer some advice.

He said: "It was unbelievable - he genuinely believed he had done nothing wrong and that the woman should have been investigated by police for misrepresentation.

"I told him that she'd not committed any offences and that it was his actions, in soliciting for sex, that were in fact illegal."
