Beeb said:US cybersecurity firm FireEye says it has recently been attacked by a "highly sophisticated threat actor", believing the hacking was state-sponsored.
In a blog, FireEye CEO Kevin Mandia said company tools used for testing customers' security had been stolen.
"The attacker primarily sought information related to certain government customers," he wrote.
The blog did not say who might have carried out the attack. The firm and the FBI are investigating the hack.
FireEye share price plunged following the company's acknowledgement of the hack.
"Based on my 25 years in cyber security and responding to incidents, I've concluded we are witnessing an attack by a nation with top-tier offensive capabilities," Mr Mandia said in Tuesday's blog, adding that the hack was "different from the tens of thousands of incidents we have responded to throughout the years".
"The attackers tailored their world-class capabilities specifically to target and attack FireEye.
"They used a novel combination of techniques not witnessed by us or our partners in the past," the blog said.
Russia airline boss sacked after plane traces phallus in the sky
Detour was made in support for a footballer involved in a sex tape scandal, Russian media reports
Russia’s biggest low-cost airline has sacked one of its deputy bosses after a passenger plane was caught taking a phallic-shaped detour during a commercial flight, reportedly in support for a footballer embroiled in a sex tape scandal.
It seems the monolith pandemic was an Australian advertisement stunt from some comedians:
Seems this needs to be verified though.
After three years and roughly a dozen stolen packages, Laurie Pringle was fed up. Her neighbours were too.
Living in a row home on a busy downtown Hamilton street, the 54-year-old said she and her neighbours knew they had to do something to stop porch pirates from stealing any packages. So they plotted.
"We were chatting. I have a puppy, they have a German Shepherd, and we jokingly said, 'We should just fill it up with dog doo.' Of course, my little puppy couldn't fill a box if we waited a week," Pringle said.
And then she got a spur of the moment idea.
"While I was cleaning the cat litter, I thought, 'It wouldn't take much to fill a box with this stuff' and so I thought, 'You know, it's Christmas time and maybe I should help Santa with the naughty list, and instead of coal, we can give the porch pirates some cat crap.'"
She dumped the cat litter into the box, taped it up and left it outside her front door. She positioned the box so the Amazon logos stayed face up and would look like any other package.
Roughly 40 minutes later, a man walked up to her front step, picked up the package and left.
US wildlife authorities have launched an investigation after a manatee was discovered with the word 'Trump' scraped on its back.
The marine mammal was spotted on Sunday in Florida's Homosassa River, with the US president's surname on its body.
Officials told AP news agency that the animal does not appear to be seriously injured, and the word was scraped onto algae growing on its skin.
But a video of the West Indian manatee has led to public outcry.
Manatees, nicknamed "sea cows," are protected under US law, and anyone found guilty of harassing them faces up to a year in prison and a $50,000 (£37,000) fine.
Images of the animal was first shared by the Citrus County Chronical, a local newspaper, and have been widely shared on social media.

A couple in Canada have been fined for breaking Covid curfew rules after the woman was caught "walking" her husband on a leash, according to local media.
The woman reportedly told police that she was just out "walking her dog" near their home in the city of Sherbrooke, in Quebec province.
On Saturday the province imposed a nightly curfew between 20:00 and 05:00.
Walking a dog close to home is one of the only acceptable reasons to be outside between those times.
The pair were spotted by police at around 9pm on Saturday night, just a short while after the new rules came into effect.
They reportedly told police that they were following the rule for pets. Isabelle Gendron, of the Sherbrooke Police Department, told the local newspaper La Tribune the couple "did not co-operate with the police at all".
They were each fined CA$1,546 ($1,212; £893).
Police across Quebec issued 750 tickets for violations during the first weekend of the curfew.
Canada has seen a recent surge in Covid-19 infections, nearing 670,000 total cases since the pandemic began.
On Monday Quebec's premier François Legault called on residents to respect social distancing rules, saying "I know it's difficult, but Quebeckers are able to work as a team when necessary."
He warned that the situation in the province's largest city Montreal was "really critical" and said hospitals were nearing the point where they would not be able to treat all patients.
