Heh, orders soon. 1 Hour before lock down until tuesday so I will just send guidelines with everything but the Map. Simple question. If no luck to enemy/ally is involved what are the chances of taking London this turn?

(near the mouth of the River.)

Sure, why not. I guess I can send them...just don't expect me to do anything too flamboyant (although I do have some funny yet awesome ideas).

EDIT: Teh ordrz...tey be cent!

No, you will send ORDERS, structures as I asked. If a map is really a problem we can forgo that, but you WILL stick to the other rules.

As for taking London? Well it depends how you go about doing it.. but I can't imagine it will be that had to do... there isn't much there or blocking you taking it.

We find it good and right to form mutually beneficial agreements with our Christian brothers in this pagan land. Our offers are as follows.

Firstly, the exchange of formal and permanent diplomats, to reside in our respective courts and facilitate communication between our kingdoms.

Secondly, the creation, maintenance, and protection of proper routes upon which trade can travel between our capitals.

Thirdly, a guarantee of aid should any of us be attacked or harassed by the pagans of this land.

We hope that you can agree to all three of our offers, and that we shall become closer still in the future.

To: Dumnonia
From: Cerdigion

We also wish the turning back of these pagan Irish. We would join our fleets to yours and those of Cerniw in the attempt to destroy them. Will you have us?

To: Dyfed
From: Ceredigion

Our kingdoms have much in common. We have both embraced the one true faith, that in Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are both small nations, surrounded by others eager to see us fall. We extend to you an offer of full alliance. Will you accept us?

To: Laighn
From: Ceredigion

We will not pay tribute to pirates, nor pagans. Your fleets shall come, and they shall be turned away.

We are very happy to meet with you brothers. We agree with your three proposals and also to Alliance. Perhaps your second issue could have us spending equal GTD's annually into a project?

From Glywysing, Gwent
To: Ceredigion

While your ideaa interests us, we will only agree to your first proposal for now. We do not mean to be rude, it is more the fact we could not be sure to stick to such promises, or afford such things currently. Ask us again later.

From Beuult, Brycheiniog
To Ceredigion

Ridiculus ideas! Do you know how much that would cost? Heavens, we can defend ourselves in these hills, you might be at risk on the coast, but we are fine! No Thanks!

From Cerniw
To Ceredigion

While the idea is novel, we do not feel that connected to you, perhaps if you send some diplomats over, they can convince me better at length.

Fools, you will regret this!

From Luitcoyt (Note usually a player, but I am NPCing for now)

We would wish to agree to all three of your plans if you would also support our claim for a small passage of land to give us access to the sea

To Gwynedd and Rehged

We dearly wish to secure access to the seas, will you allow us to peacefully expand? We are willing to pay handsomly for this

We are willing to negotiate the sale of a strip of land which would give you sea access. Please respond (via PM or IM) so we may discuss further.

Actually he said:...

I did, but it's also correct that all of the Anglo-Saxons would have been pagan. The Romano-British were Christian, and so were the Irish, including Dalriada. The Picts are uncertain.

Good day.

We are pleased to see such a wealthy and succesful nation in our neighbourhood and have always been intrigued by your ways. We sincerely hope not that you will fall to a party superior. We have prepared some deals of which we will propose to you:

Rights of Trade - Both of our nations' merchants will be free to trade within each other's nations.
Rights of Passage - We agree that soldiers may move unharmed through all of our nations.
Guarantee of Sovereignity - We guarantee each other independence and recognizes our lords, our kings, the true and rightful owners of our estates.

I hope that you will reply to this letter soon.

Sincerely,
Aldfrith of Lindsey

From South Saxons

Our merchants have petitioned me to engage in trade with our neighbors. Thus I request you to allow our merchants into your territories to trade goods, be they cloth, cattle, or gold. We shall reciprocate and allow your merchants access to our territories as well.

And thus may we both prosper.

Signed and Sealed
King Aelle

We agree to this proposal of peace and alliance. We are happy that Christian blood should not have to be spilled when more dire threats are closing in.

Good day to you as well, Aldfrith. The nation of Anglia will accept all three proposals. Let the relations between our nations only grow stronger.

We are pleased to hear your response to our offers. It is good and right that Christians should be allies in this pagan land.

For our part, we accept your proposal, and our ambassador shall be arriving at your court shortly to discuss the exact points within this agreement.

From Glywysing, Gwent
To: Ceredigion

The first of the proposals was by far the most important. We are glad that you have accepted it, and our diplomats shall arrive as quickly as possible.

To: Luitcoyt
From: Ceredigion

We are pleased that you have agreed to our proposals. The land which you desire to access the sea shall be granted you, as it clearly falls under the second agreement.

The exact nature of this land would be several ports owned and operated by you and your people. We wish we could do more, but your distance from our shores hinders us in this matter.

Alas, you are to far away for a formal alliance to have meaning, but we will also agree to assist you in any way possible should you come under attack, be it from pagans or our fellow Christians.

To: Beuult, Brycheiniog
From: Ceredigion

We are mildly offended that you are not willing to accept even the first of our very reasonable proposals, and find it distasteful that our Christian brothers would so hastily reject closer ties with their fellows.

Cool on that. But why do all the sources indicate that Bernicia was Christian? Whatever its not a big deal, just curious now.
