AFSNES I – The New Dawn

"On a wholly accidental note, " what? Missing something das?

Some irrelevant nonsense about suspiciously coincidental voyages of exploration in this age.

From: The Eternal Empire
To: Tibet

We hereby express our extreme displeasure regarding your actions against the Turgulid Empire, blessed by Enlil. We implore you to withdraw from all Turgulid territory immediately.

To: Nubia
The filthy feet of your rabble are despoiling holy soil. They will know no relief, for the death we will bring them will only be the beginning of their torment. Under Enlil's gaze will they burn, burn forever to purge their sins, sins that can never be redeemed.

TO: Kipchak
FROM: Kyrgys Confederacy
Kipchak's aggression against Kyrgys has been soundly beaten. You are defeated. We see no need for further conflict unless you seek to expand your losses into your destruction. Indicate that you are willing to conduct peace talks and terms, and we will stay our armies.

(-1 Kipchak Confidence, 1 Kipchak Trade to Kyrgys)
The influx of trade into and through Kyrgys territory stimulated local infrastructural development, with the help of the merchants (+1 Infrastructure, Trade)
OOC: das, if my economy was previously 1/0/2 (3EP total), shouldn't it now be 1/0/4 with +2 Trade, instead of 1/0/3?

Ahh, good. My oversight in orders was of course just a ploy to find out if I had what I thought I had all along :mischief:

Excellent update dasaroni

Eexcellent, but, Das, there's a reason I put my forts in the places I did, not directly on the border.

Yes, seems so. Thanks.

Er, yes? In any case, those are yet to have played a role.

From: The Grand Negotiator of the Bahulatvan Coalescence
To: The Ascendancy of Mahapura

We are overjoyed to see the placation of barbarians and other primitives with such high culture as Paramatmanism brings. In fact, the whole operation that you have going so far south is remarkable. So remarkable that we wish to protect it and extend an offer of a mutual alliance towards you.

It would be a shame and a crime against the powers that be to see such an achievement of humanity as the Ascendancy has become be destroyed by aggressive actions of...lesser...lands.

From: The Grand Negotiator of the Bahulatvan Coalescence
To: His Nubiness of the Empire of Nubia That Is New

Ahh, it appears scribes from other lands have placed US as the culprits of this disastrous little war you have going on.

Now now, don't get your desert skirts or whatever it is you wear in a bunch. There is CLEARLY another way the brave and righteous Akkadians could have completely surprised your...easily supriseable...defenses in that province.

The answer is Saba of course, the rogue Jewish Kingdom of the desert. They could have been ferried from there to an identical spot that we supposedly gave them.

Besides, if we really had ferried THAT many Akkadians...surely we would have asked for some commission? We are greedy bastards after all.

From: The Grand Negotiator of the Bahulatvan Coalescence
To: Her Majesty, the Priestess-Queen Akira Miamoto, of the Jomon

Your nation (a quite cleverly designed one and original too, I must say) is the dream of our merchants and our adventurous sorts. We would be open to varying varieties of deals; trade with faraway and never before seen peoples is an intriguing idea for us both, is it not fair Queen?

Name your price or your deal.

Very nice update. :D

To: Illyrian City-States

We shall gladly take you under our protection, though we *did* warn you that something like this might happen.

From: The Hellenic Empire
To: Singidun

Perhaps we can agree on some sort of mutual settlement. The northern Illyrian states might agree to become Singidun's vassals if you would stop slaughtering them for a moment.

great update das

IC: To: Akkad
From: Nubia

I take your angry letter as no peace. I am open to peace negotiations, but I will not give up my land so easily.

With certain recent events fresh in mind, the leadership of the Mahapuran Ascendancy hereby accepts the Grand Negotiator's offer.

OOC: You know, what's up with all these secret elite commando forces trying to take each other's capital? I mean, what are the odds that Akkad would seize Nubia's Capital while Nubia, at the same time, would try to seize Akkad's capital? :p

A good update das, never liked militaristic non-meat eating Buddhists anyways ;)

Great update as always Das! One thing though, shouldn't my project be finished?

From: Singidun
To: The Hellenic Empire, Illyrian City-States

Singidun is open to peace proposals as we would very much like to continue our good relations with the Hellenic Empire.

It's actually a time-honored tradition in Ashaist-Agade Dag wars. See the first update. ;)

From: The Hellenic Empire
To: Singidun

We welcome your willingness to negotiate. Here is our proposal:

Spoiler :
Hellenic_Partition_Map.PNG

1. The northern Illyrian city-states swear allegiance to Prince Orbeospor of Singidun, in return for the promise of autonomy and trading rights. They will supply 20 ships to Singidun for use in a navy.

2. The southern Illyrian city-states, centered on the province of Colchinium, will swear allegiance to Emperor Archelus I, Emperor of all the Hellenes. In return, they will gain the right to representation in the Archonate of Taras, and untaxed trade with all areas of the Empire.

3. The Italic Illyrian city-states will be organized into the Epirotine Republic, and will maintain continued independence, in return for their recognition of Priest-King Arthu XX and Emperor Archelus I as supreme rulers of Latin and Greek Italy, respectively.

OOC: Fantastic update! Poor old Ashaists don't look to be lasting much longer. I approve of the destruction the Celts are visiting upon the worshippers of Amon Ra.

Also: (6/3/4)
2/2/4 and as much economy as anyone in Europe :smug:

Wow, das, that looks fantastic. 'Twil make for some excellent reading material on the plane ride on the 25th. (Yeah, I'll be gone for a week, which oughtn't stop me from writing orders in time.)

There is one minor error, though, and that is that my project should have naturally progressed to (2/4) this past turn, not merely staying at (1/4). Other than that, we're good. Thanks!
