Lol, I love that one.

Anyways, sorry for the late update. Here it is:

Barbarian hordes sprouted all around. Massive armies headed for the seat of power of the Romans: The Italian Peninsula. The Romans prepared with their newly-outfitted crossbowmen. From atop Mediolanum walls, these new advanced archer-type legions faced the first wave of Barbarians, horse archers that went ahead of the main army.

As the Romans fortified, their Ethiopian client asked for assistance in their research. Despite the extremely bad timing, the Romans helped the Ethiopians with their superior knowledge.

Now the armies laid siege to Roman cities, Mediolanum in particular was hit. The Romans were dedicated to not have a repeat of Lutetia Parisium, which had fallen and was destroyed by these barbaric tribes. Even Constantinopolis was attacked, and nearly taken.

Previously, Roman scholars set out on a quest to preserve all Roman literature. The Emperor, interested in literature himself, supported these scholars and promised them libraries to hold what works they found. It was also discovered that the world acknowledged Rome as the largest civilization in the entire world.

Rome eventually overcame the Barbarians, most of the known armies were destroyed thanks to the crossbowmen Rome enlisted. In celebration, the Emperor ordered another great monument built. In the midst of all the turmoil, in Mediolanum, search parties led by Augustine discovered something....

I'm thinking Mediolanum...

Sorry for being late on this!

Please note I forgot to screenshot plague spread. Anyways:

Christianity in the form of Catholicism appeared in Mediolanum. It soon spread to Rome, and would most definitely spread across the entire Empire. But, most of the Empire was still pagan, including the Emperor. Though he allowed the Christians to do what they pleased, he continued the tradition of Rome to build great monuments.

Rome was in relative peace. Although plague and barbarians were still strong enough to attack. This time was known as the Pax Romana.

Now, the almost completely-Christian city of Mediolanum built the first ever church. Plants sprouted right outside the city. It was seen as a miracle, one of the first ever to be seen as such.

I promise the next on will be longer. Got busy lol.

I think the barbs are defeated! Now just the European (and Arab) spawns to deal with.

You should really get some workers down to Babylon. Cottage all those floodplains and get a quarry on that marble!

Great update.

it seems like you'll have a harder time with the arabs than the europeans, which is a odd for the romans

Nice updates! :)
