Altered Maps ΙΓ: To make a map larger than what it maps.

The government in Denmark is considering banning E-cigarettes. Apparently they are unhealthy, but there aren't really a lot of studies done on them.

I heard the proposed ban on their use in public spaces, as with tobacco, was because the UK government (I realize you're talking about Denmark) feared the normalization of the "vapour" habit, rather than as an aid to withdrawing from nicotine use.

There have been some publicized accidents involving people incinerating their faces with them as well. But it's very rare, I think.

Well, Popeye would be it's host in that case. Hell, perhaps he's the Brocolli Antichrist, an entity send from the heavens to punish us for our heathen bacon ways.

Vaping (sic), ie 'smoking' e-cigarettes is not at all 'unhealthy'- let alone when compared to actual smoking. Speaking as a long-time smoker, e-cigarettes don't seem to smell at all (unless you mix the e-liquid with perfumes or flavors they sell, eg strawberry or 1000 other flavors), and apart from the actual nicotene there is no other of the damaging substances cigarettes have (eg tar, or residues from the burned paper).
They feel a lot better as well. I am pretty sure i will either keep using e-cigs or just quit smoking all-together, cause after 10 days of using them i already dislike the smell of cigarettes

I think Popeye would have no part of this broccoli apocalypse. Spinach, on the other hand...

Proposed Sorbo-Lusatian state (after WW2), which did not become a reality:

Except brocolli and everything that is homoeopathic.
Homeopathy is really remarkable.

When you think about it, you're inhaling homeopathic doses of very nearly everything, including brocolli (very high levels of vitamin C, bordering on the toxic), every time you breathe in. Free of charge.

Which, I think, represents an enormous saving on the charges made by homeopathic practitioners.

You've to look to religions for better scams, imo.

The notion of a war waged homeopathically is really intriguing. How might that work?

Take a gun, draw a picture of the gun, draw a picture of the picture, and draw a picture of that picture... and so on.

Then think about sending the final picture to your potential enemy. After banging your head repeatedly on a desk.

I think I may be on to something.

They will propose cures like "what about mint and some Chinese flower I stole from Bejing and now I'm hunted by the Chinese authorities and abroad?" until your all brain cells commit suicide and you become a vegetable, ready to be ruled by your homoeopathic overlords.

It's also not quite accurate. The UK is gradually switching to better voting systems (STV for Northern Ireland councils and Assembly; AMS for Scottish councils and Parliament and Welsh Assembly, list PR for EP). Also, China should not be greyed out - it does have elections, even if they are not free or fair. It's a form of negative voting usually, I think (put an X by the name of the candidate you want to lose).

This is for national elections. For instance certain Australian states/territories have proportionally-represented lower houses, but I didn't indicate that.

The UK is not moving beyond FPTP nationally for a while.

This might be a map of Facebook users, I'm not sure (on one site I saw it, the image was named Facebook.png). I think both China and Russia have their own social network so it would make sense.
