It was a lot of fun, and I think everyone had a good time... except Theige. :)

i released a new map. i colored in the countries and the controls that they used to control. with the major exeption of the Byzantine Republic, all of them lost their colonies.

you may note that the USA is split into two. one is a Democratic state. one is communist. i made it fairly obvious. Several Countries has joined Russia.

( note: Britain lost all of the colonies when the mainland surrendered in 1942.)

British Alaska? The neighbouring North-Western territory was only officially assigned to the Governor and Company of Adventurers of England trading into Hudson's Bay in 1859... Alaska was Russian Empire territory from 1742 to 1867, after which it was sold to the Americans, out of fear that the British would stage an attack on the badly-protected territory from what is know Canada.

How did it become British? Or was it acquired from the Americans by Canada?

Communist Texas :lmao:

it became part of canada when the Confederate forces were defeated. it made a bit of sense.

its the Communist states of America with the capital at las Vegas. the Democratic states of America has its capital at New York, since Washington and Richmond were burned to the ground.

Can we do another one with players that both understand the rules and don't drop out immediately?

how is it funny? i dont really get it

Hmm... Let me put it this way:

Going to Texas and saying you are communist = Going to Istanbul and saying "Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was the biggest homosexual in Turkish history".

Turkish people love Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
Texans hate communism.

ah. well this is alternate texas. they still hate communism but they cant do a thing about it.

remind me to never criticize turkey if i'm in turkey. i could be shot or something.

It's just funny. A communist Texas

Yeah, almost as funny as a Communist Arizona, Montana, or Utah.

I think the only states there remotely lefty enough to possibly turn communist is California, Oregon, and maybe Washington (and even a state as lefty as California would probably resist).

no i'm Canadian.

im just interested in Byzantine and by extension, Turkish culture.

California? Too many rich people live there - they'd never give up their riches. Just cause they're democrats, doesn't mean they're going to want to give up their fancy cars, mansions, and Mexican maids.

Same with Washington- If communists took over here, the Party would just get bought by Microsoft.

In other words, the West Coast states are farther left than the rest of the country, but there's too many rich people over here to allow Communists to take over.
