OOC: You wouldn't believe if I told you (maybe those who were here in the first elections would believe it), but I'm a Monarchist (there is no sense in calling a brazilian monarchist a royalist, because in portuguese royal (Real) and King (Rei) come from the same root (Re), and as we are defenders of the Brazilian Empire, with its Emperor, not its King in his Kingdom, we opted to renounce that designation. Actually Royalists are some ill-intended group of fake monarchists that appeared in the 90s, when we had our plebiscite to choose between a Monarchy or a Republic, defending the creation of the Brazilian Kingdom. It hurts to hear someone calling us royalists since then I guess, can't say because at that time I was 3 y.o.).
Not the Kind that wants supreme power on the hands of the Monarch, but the kind that is interested in Parliamentary Monarchies around the world and our own example in the late XIXth century.

I would vote for Wood, but seeing as how Harding is the only viable opposition to Debs, I'll vote for him.

The communists are a threat to the US, they only respect the democratic process when it suits them, look what happens when a candidate they oppose is elected, they attempt to kill him and destroy our nation no wonder the government felt they needed to be banned.
Ordinarily I would support Debs but I feel the actions of the communists have alienated any support I might of had for the left. With this in mind I would like to found the Society for the Protection of America (SPA) with the aim of launching counter-protests should we see any more traitorous communist activities (such as sabotage/assassination attempts and those riots)

Warren G. Harding, running for president, is rumored to be supporting the Ku Klux Klan despite his political manifests. The candidate has been touring the Southern states in order to persuade voters in his favor. The travelling "Warren Wagon" moves from county to county and holds meetings at town squares, convincing the masses to fear the "communist traitors".
Ellen D. Humphrey, housemaid from Huntsville, Alabama, attended one of those meetings. "Harding uses violent language and mocks the slightest leftist inclinations. He even said the poor have no right to protest, for it is only the owners who are truly civilized and deserve respect as true Americans" says Humphrey, adding "Then he went on to denounce the Negroes as worse than even the communists".

The language of hatred turned out not to be just a product of Mrs. Humphrey's imagination; Harding did actually say "both communists and Negroes need to be dealt with. That is why I am running for this office". The audience was divided in two: those who cheered, and those who jeered. The wagon then left the town, heading to another county. From its trunk fell onto the ground a Ku Klux Klan mask.

Since the socialists were bound to be blamed, isn't it obvious that the attack on Wilson was carried out by an enemy of socialism? The result of the attack - the establishment of a one-party state of the right where even being a centrist can get you locked up - is what the would-be "assassin" and his antidemocratic capitalist robber-baron backers hoped for all along.
I vote for Debs, in the hope that he can and will reinstate democracy and end totalitarian rule in our nation.

They engaged in voter fraud and cheered at the assassination attempt, both of which are illegal crimes, so they were imprisoned for a reason. I'm not saying that all communists did this, but the ones in prison did.

We did not cheer for the assassination nor are we happy only when democracy suits us. Wilson passed a bill outlining the oppression of communism simply because he saw it as a threat to his presidency. He jailed innocent citizens.
