AND SVN Build Thread

I can confirm Ostix post. Your path does not work for Relocate 45*. I have no access.

Edit: Made New folder and using address provided doing a checkout now.

EDIT2: New checkout includes much more than AND. It also includes your DLL and PDB Backup folders, Example Folder, Overwriting Folder, Sources, and 3 "Script" folders. ot sure you want this one made public 45*.

This is definately the best mod for Civ IV BTS especially with the intelligent AI.

Keep up the good work!

Damn, that Sourceforge upgrade has only caused troubles.

You could try the new link like this:

svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/anewdawn/code/Trunk/Rise of Mankind - A New Dawn

There's no problem in making those folders public as there's no write access to anyone besides team members. And to tell the truth, they're already public if you look on sourceforge. :)

Thank you from the AND Team.

Is there any way to fix the old link for SVN updating? Or is the new checkout only way?

P.S. This goes without saying, but amazing job on mod so far. I've been on these forums for quite a while as guest, and can't wait for future updates. :goodjob:

No way as far as I know. The problem is the Sourceforge upgrade, nothing related to AND that I can do. I've had troubles myself to commit new files to the repository. The old link is still working but won't go beyond rev645. By the way this also means that when I have a little spare time I'll have to look at the script which enables the full download: as it's probably pointing at the old link, even the full download won't go beyond rev645.

If you have a SVN old link just: Tortoise SVN > Relocate > https://svn.code.sf.net/p/anewdawn/code

Thank You Cruel!

Worked like a Good Luck Charm!:goodjob::clap:

Hey. Been playing AND2 for a while and I have been wondering:

Can you play a save from an older rev with a newer rev? Like, a save from rev645 to be played from rev648 and etc.

You can with any version from 618 onwards I think or was it 619, anyway, that one caused a break in the chain, and you can't go further back. Always you can move forward.

It'll just ask to recalculate the modifiers.

Just a note for users of other Versions of SVN. I use kdesvn, a linux version, and it hasn't the capacity to change the working copy URL. Or if it has, I can't figure it out.

I just down loaded it again, only 945 Megs, but expands to the full installed version. Only missing 2 files from 645, which has added and removed files over the versions 633, 638 and 645. So I have it in full.

A quick message to let you all know I'm not gone; I'm still working on AND2 every day, I'm simply trying to find a point where I can pause dll work for a while so that we can release AND2.1 and start working on AND2 and Vokarya's new tech tree. I'll answer every post probably during the weekend. :)

Can't wait, hombre! Great work!

Hey all.

I just popped in to see what the deal was with the SF changes and figured I'd post to say that I'm still playing the hell out of AND SVN and appreciate all the effort being put forth to keep it going.

:) Thank you from all the AND Team, we're happy you're enjoying it!

FYI I guess I'm uploading another revision in the next days. I've asked Mantriur to update his script (I guess it was his work) so that the Full Installer will work again. I've merged the dll up to C2C rev4716, which is February 2013. So we're catching up with C2C. :D A few more revisions and then AND2 will be good enough to become AND2.1; then we'll start with Vokarya's tech tree and units/buildings/wonders. :)

Edit: Full Installer is working again with the latest revision; thank you Mantriur! And thank you Sgtslick for updating the link in the SVN post. :)

Hey 45!

I have been a lurker on these forums for over 4 years  - first post!

ROM AND is my favourite 'real world' style mod for BTS. Right now, I am genuinely more excited about the progress on AND2 than I am about CivV's coming 'Brave New World.' :bounce:

On top of a demanding day job, I work as a unpaid volunteer in the marketing and operation of vintage steam locomotives and trains in South Africa. I thus appreciate what it is like putting in hundreds, if not thousands, of volunteer hours into building and maintaining something that brings pleasure to other people.

Thank you (and your team) for all of your efforts in keeping this great mod-mod alive!

Steel Wheels

Thank you SteelWheels :) To tell the truth lately I seldom play a full game with AND because I'm very busy updating this project. But I can assure you I enjoy very much making other people happy to play this awesome mod. And again, nothing of this would have been possible without skilled programmers like Zappara, Afforess, Koshling and many others (a big thank you, again, to the C2C team). :)

Edit: oh, and congrats for you first post ;)
